I occasionally play in those $2 games and I agree with everyone above: Don't bother trying to read anyone.
He is an example: Yesterday I got a little frustrated at the 50NL tables and decided to blow off a little stream at the micro limits.
I am playing AsKs OTB and raise to 20c (a 10x BB raise) and get 3 callers.
The flop comes Kd, 10d, 7c. Normally I try not to over play TPTK but at these tables I am putting all my money in with them. Checked around to me. I bet pot, get 1 caller.
Turn is 4c. I put my caller on the flush draw so I bet pot again. He calls.
River is a 3h. I push all in, he calls. Now I am very confused he obviously wasn't on the draw maybe he flopped a set of 10's? He flips over 4h,3d. He called a pot sized bet with 2 unders! My read was sooooo far off that I almost fell out of my chair laughing.
Later I asked him why he made the flop (or turn call for that matter) and he said that it was only 60c and he was here to have fun. With players using that logic I don't think that reading is possible.
