I've become very successful at heads-up play. If I get heads up, I'll win about 75% of the time. That's mostly how I do it, though, raise just about anything when I'm first to act preflop and call or reraise any smallish raise when I'm in the BB. And then I'll play the flop aggressively unless and until the opponent lets me know that he has something.

And they complain a lot about it because I don't give 'em an opening to play their cards. That's the way one guy put it. Another guy: "Raise your cards, not your position. Give me a chance to breathe."

I just laugh at 'em.

Nice run on the SnGs, MVP. I'm destroying $20 ones these days, but I can't seem to get anywhere with the $30. I'll go play and lose a couple or three $30, drop back to $20, win two or three in a row, then go drop another $30 or two. Might be just coincidence, I dunno. But it's starting to make me nuts.

Back to reality... WOW... What a run I'm on... got another 2nd... can't seem to break the 1-2 barrier very often, but I'm not complaining...

BTW flafishy... I think if you really pushed the $30 SNGs, and didn't get discouraged when you lost one, you'd do fine there... Hell, you're a better SNG player than I am (current streak aside), and I really don't see much of a difference between the $20 and the $50 SNG... If anything, I think they're a little easier to read, cause they play SOOOO ABC poker... it's like they've got freakin SS2 sittin in front of them, and they're lookin up notes as they play...

Oh, it'll come. Same thing happened to me when I decided to make the jump from $10 to $20. Once I nailed a couple or three $20 in a row, I stayed there and quickly went on a very nice run for about a month. then had another dry spell for about a week, and then all of a sudden found about two weeks ago that I can't help but win these things -- I'm something like 80% ITM and about 125% ROI for the past couple of weeks in the $20s.

Just repeating the exercise now. Essentially what I'm doing is dropping a couple of $30s in a row, then dropping back for a couple of $20s just to make sure I haven't forgotten how to do it. I nail the $20s without much problem, then go hit up a couple or three $30s. Once I nail two or three of the $30s in a row, I'll leave the $20s behind, eventually will then probably go through the same process when I decide to move up to $40.

I started playing at Bodog on Thursday. My results there say everything about what I'm going through during this transition. Since Thursday, I've played 5 $20 SnGs there. Won the first four, finished third in the fifth one last night. Mixed in, I've played 4 $30 SnGs there, haven't cashed one of them.
