biotop was a LAG who has shown down some weak hands. About 5 hands ago he pushed me off top set with a river raise on a scare card.

Unless you already decided to play for stacks I'm not too excited about your flop bet against this type of opponent.

Don't re-raise preflop. Flop bet is fairly standard but I'd expect to get re-popped approaching half the time against this sort of oppo. I think you probably have to fold but given your read it's close. I think if he pushes one pair plus a draw here it's actually marginally better to call (it's practically all-in anyways I guess).

Gooper I don't know if its a good long term play but I have taken to smooth calling raises with AA unless I can get a large % of my stack in preflop. You aren't going to hit a flop enough that getting 10% of your stack in preflop is going to be good. I really don't like leading this flop, if you think villain is a bag LAG and you have the best hand then CR him and put him to the decision. Overall this isn't a great flop for you hand, there is no shame in checking/ calling and folding to another pot bet on the turn.

its a postflop game, not a preflop game and reraising with hands like this are just gonna build a big pot when you are likely only gonna have one pair, no draw.
