I'm liking poker again, 30min session, $40 up even though I lost around $15 all in preflop with AK vs KK.

I guess I went through a few days of bad luck and bad play combining to form one nasty downswing.

I havn't really been playing much poker over the last month, a lasting losing streak took the desire away. I moved what was left on my bankroll, around $250 to party poker where I am told the games are softer than on pokerstars.

So far I am down one buyin at NL25, however I did run into AA with my KK all in preflop, so I am not overly concerned. I also cleared a signup bonus rather quick, taking my current bankroll up to $280.

Have some reading to do, Sklansky's Theory of Poker, hopefully some study will improve my game and get me back up to NL50 and beyond.

My return to playing on party has not gone well, something has changed in my game and I cannot work out what it is, I dropped another $70 today, meaning its back to NL10 for a while.

In the last two days my KK ran into AA four times, had another player catch runner runner cards to a straight after we both got all in on the flop... painful times.

I cannot blame the bad beats for the losses however, everyone gets bad beats. I am going to drop down a level and and play super tight on 4-6 tables later today.

The only positive is I have actually improved my hand reading to the point that I have pulled off a few selective turn and river bluffs successfully, previously I would never bluff in these places, mostly because the players would have just called anyhow with their bottom pair.

My losing ways continued until last night when I finally got my shit together and played some decent poker. I was down to a bankroll of around $150, but salvaged my confidence with a solid 4 hour session at NL25, yes technically I was playing above my bankroll, but party poker doesn't have 6man NL10.

My biggest loss and biggest win were closely linked, the biggest loss was just a really stupid move on my part, but ended up giving me a crazy table image that paid off later.

I was awoken very early (for a saturday) by two kids making a shitload of noise in a boat out the front of our house, may they die in a fire, or a river for that matter.

Good news is I jumped straight into some poker action and had a solid 3 hour session. One major change I have made over the last two days is around table selection, previously I would avoid the tables which had one player with a stack of x3 or more buyins, however I have since discovered that 9/10 they are some loose donk who will pay you off with bottom pair.

Biggest winning/losing hand time, first up the biggest loser, I have no idea why I didn't fold the river here, the villain was super loose but I should have given them credit for at least two pair.

My biggest winning hand I made a slight mistake, I pushed all in too fast on the river and the villain folded what I suspect was a flush. Note to self, don't get too excited when a LAG bets into you with the nuts, it cost me $5.
