I hate not being able to let go. Whenever something goes wrong, it loops in my head for the rest of the day and I'm forced to multi-task from then on. I have the task at hand, and the looping thoughts in my head. I end up losing attention to details during the next tasks, make another error, and then I repeat the cycle. Once my performance starts going downhill, I'm done for the rest of the day. No chance.
I made a few stupid mistakes at work today. Nothing serious, but still, they shouldn't have been made if I paid more attention and wasn't multi-tasking the whole time. See, nothing even has to be happening to force me to multi-task - as long as something internally is going on, a memory, a fragment of a song, etc. I will be forced to multi-task.
