I had a hand last session where I was OOP and had called the buttons flop and turn bets similar to yours. The river gave me what I was sure was thw winning hand.

The button shoved his chips in out of turn just like your hand. I said "the action is on me , sir". He pulled his chips back. I said "I check" and he pushed all in. I instcalled and took his money. Yes, it was probably a shitty move on my part, but the guy was an ass.

CJ..on the AJs hand, depending on the player and the amount of the bet, I think a call is better alot of the time. It looks like youre drawing so hes going to bet the river almost no matter what it is and there are very few cards that can outdraw you.

A raise is fine also since you most likely have the best hand and best draw but I like that better against a loose CS type player.

This isnt what I mean by making a move or by raising in position though.

Also, why do you think a check raise is a bad play in NL?
