Well. That was a terrible day.

I won like $1800 in my morning $2/$4 session. Then I didn't play any until tournament time.

I played the FTP $40k guarenteed. The Pokerstars $100k guarenteed. And the FTP $1k WSOP satellite.

1 Hour into the $40k guarenteed I am chip leader.

At this point I see "Donald", who is one of the biggest online limit fishes playing $100/$200. He is very very bad. Check calling down with K7 high in capped pots (as if getting into one with K7 high isnt bad enough anyway). Etc. Etc.

I quickly find myself up $3,500 in the game.

Next thing I know I am chip leader in the $100k on Stars, and I double up in the $1000 satellite.

I will leave out the bad beats, cold decks, and poor play but suffice is to say I am sitting here two hours later. I just missed cashing in the $100k and $40k. I only outlasted half the field in the WSOP satellite. I went on a $7500 "downswing" at $100/$200 and booked a $4000 loss there.

So I went from being up $5k+ for the day and having good equity in 3 sizeable tournaments to being down over $2000 and cashing in 0 tournaments.

I like seeing men naked.

I'm gonna try to grind ~3000 hands a day until my birthday (the 21st).

By this time I'll have paid my taxes (yuck) and will be able to go to Foxwoods. I'm definately going to go to Foxwoods on the 22nd for like a day. Juicyness/size of available games, what's left of my bankroll after I pay taxes, and how well I run on the 22nd will determine how I split the rest of the month between live and online play. Basically unless they have a 5/10+ game that is retardedly juicy I'll be finishing out the month grinding at home.

My bankroll is at a good spot (well, before this $10k downswing maybe) to move up to $5/$10 (temporarily if things go bad early) but with taxes in 2 weeks unfortunately I can't. I'll just have to grind very hard for a little while so my bankroll is as big as possibly after the taxes. If it is still $50k+ I will be stepping up to $5/$10 on Stars for 10,000 hands and revaluating.

Since so much of this month is up in the air I can't make any month-long goals.

Pre-tax: My goal is to play ~40,000 hands and make ~$15,000.

Post-tax: Recover nicely and get my bankroll ready for a serious shot at a move up to $5/$10.

I lost 7 buy ins today. I had made 7 buy ins in the past 3days. Poker sucks.
