Weekday Foxwoods Trip Report
I can now finally enjoy sitting at a poker table in Foxwoods without worrying about getting carded. i can legally drink as well. Hooray! Anyways I swore off playing $1-2 NL there becuz every pot preflop is raises to like 2-25 bucks with like 5-7 callers with any shit hands. So I decided to enjoy a nice relaxing $1-3 7 stud game game at 1pm with 7 other people ages 65-80. I just love sitting with angry old men making fun of each other, especially when it comes to ethnicity. The French hate the English, the Italians hate the French, then again who doesn't hate the French these days. So much hate in the world. Anyways after 3 hours of relaxing play and really owning this one asian dude, I'm sitting up a nice 60-80 bucks which I'll take the way Ive been running. Soon enough the crazy old men start sucking out trips and crazy gutshot draws on 6th, 7th street and I'm down 65 now. It's around 6 and its time to move to 1-2 NL so i can make money back and hopefully then some.
Only two real hands of interest that I was in I guess, maybe three.
Probably the 5th hand since the new table opened up, KK in the SB 3 limpers i raise to 15 two limpers call.
Flop low junk rainbow something along the lines of 8-5-3 i bet 30 into the 45-50 bucks and they both fold.
very next hand AK off on button
6 limpers i limp learning my lesson from last time and the sb calls and BB checks
Flop- A K 4 two diamonds
UTG bet 10, 1 call i reraise to 35 UTG calls, flat caller folds
turn 8h
he bets out 25 leaving himself $30, I put him all in he calls
I show two pair, he shows Jd5d, flush draw
One time dealer, no river flush, yay! i win putting my starting stack of 150 up to like 275
Now seat 1 originally had an old man but he was replaced by the biggest fish, calling, bluffing station this side of the Mississippi.
Fish raises to $10 call call, next guy goes all in $65, folds to fish who had called instantly with a pair of 3's
AK suited vs 33 pot roughly 150, fish wins. Now he did have the best hand but didn't think at all about what his opponent had let alone the two guys behind him.
Same situation except fish moves all in on a guy after a preflop raise of $20, guy calls with AK off and fish has 77, once again gambling huge pots in coinflip situations without taking 1 second to analyze the hand. Fish wins.
Now it gets better.
fish is raising almost every hand to either $6-12 bucks with junk. two callers.
Flop 458 rainbow
the fish bet 10 in the Sb, calls, reraise from seat 5 to 35 fish calls, other player drops, turn 10.
Fish bets 20 other guy reraises all in for $120 fish quickly calls with........... 10-6 offsuit drawing to 4 outs because his opponent has 44. fish gets his river 7.
I am not leaving this table till I take a piece of this chumps money, Everyone is laughing and cringing at how bad he is playing but his best play of the night is yet to come.
Final play before I left.
fish raises to 15, 1 call then a reraise to 45 from the cutoff , folds to the fish who reraises to 90, cutoff goes all in for something like 200-225 more in chips, fish instantly calls risking a very large chunk of his stack, possibly 2/3 or 3/4. Cutoff shows KK and fish shows AJ off.
I don't remember the board but no Ace of any other help cards came for the fish and he was left crippled. Meanwhile the table is cracking up at this guys nonsense and how it finally came back to bite him. He entertained me, even though I couldn't get in a pot with him. There was one time i raises with 10-10 from the button into his SB and he reraised to $70 lol i gladly mucked and he showed his QQ. if only i had KK or AA.
