Alex i dont believe in luck, I am still beating these PLO games better than 10 BB/100 over 15k hands and I'm still taking some time off. Last night was the final straw but not because of bad run of cards but because of what this bad run is doing to me mentally. I was happy to finally have a winning sessions, then that frustrating run of hands and I'm back down for the day. I spent the next 3 hrs thinking about nothing but frustration and poker. I dont need the money ATM and this bad run is really wearing on me emotionally. I have a lot going on in my life right now, I am looking for a new place to live, trying to find a summer internship, taking 16 units, trying to spend enough time with the GF to keep her happy. All of these are more important to me than poker. If I can ever get my money out of FT, I am going to have no money left online and no easy way to get money there. I am way out of shape and for everything thats going on stress wise 2 hrs at the gym will be way more valuable to me than 10BB/100 + stress.

While I agree that is 100% POSSIBLE for you to really be running THAT much worse than everyone else for your whole career, I strongly disagree with that being the sole culprit behind your........less than stellar? results.

You realize it is possible for you to poke a table and at the subatomic level there to be a chaotic harmonious synchronization of subatomic particles borrowing energy from each other, allowing your finger to pass threw the table, releasing many photons to give back the borrowed energy to the table on the other side. This is possible. It's quantum mechanics. It's definately possible. There is no recorded case of it ever happening though, and it will probably never happen before humanity dies off. But it's possible.

You seem like a smart enough person that I will say you've almost certainly (>90%) ran worse than average. If your long term results have you as a 2 PTBB/100 winner, you may have actually been making 3SPTBB/100 (3 sklansky poker tracker....). It is astronomically unlikely that you were making decisions that would result in a 4SPTBB/100 winrate and you only "realizing" a 2 PTBB/100 winrate over 300,000 hands. It is not impossible, I am mathematically stubborn enough to realize this. But it probably just didn't happen.

Also, I am just kinda guessing at your longterm winrate and number of hands played over your career.

I'm not going to try to stop you from quitting, you know what's best for you better than I do. That said, you should know that your past misfortune (defined as disparity, in this case negative, between EV and $ realized) at the poker table has absolutely no bearing on your future misfortune. Therefor stopping playing because you were unlucky previously is pretty silly. Furthermore, you are definately not playing very very excellently (arbitrarily defined as top .5% of player pool) and if you worked hard enough you could boost your winrate quite a bit and get significantly better results.

Well I actually played poker for the first time in a while. Played my normal home game with some friends. I was actually a little rusty at the beginning and I played rock tight for the first couple hours.

A couple nice hands.

I have . I limp call a $13 raise from a agressive and not very good player. Flop is K44r. I CC his bet, turn is a 6. I CR, he pushs. I call he has KJ, no J on the river.

I call a raise from the lag to my right with . Flop is AT3. He best $15, I raise to $40, he smooth calls. Turn is another 3. He leads $40, I raise to $120. He takes about 5 min and folds AK face up.

We got short handed pretty quick. Played most of the night 5 handed which was great. There was one really good LAG, a rock who was really out of place playing short and 2 players that I have a really good read on.

I did go on a nice run flopped trips twice when I raised funky hands from the button. A6 got me paid off a 66T flop. I CC the lags lead. Raised the turn value bet the river and he paid me off because he couldn't put me on a 6 and he "knew" I didn't have an overpair.

Last hand of the night that I played I raise to $10 with . from the button again. Flop is 67Kr. LAG leads $12 Rock calls, I call . Turn 9s. Checks to me I bet $35, LAG folds, rock calls. River is a 2, I still have the nuts. I bet $50 and the rock calls with a 7. He told me later that he knew I had been bluffing him and thought I was bluffing again.

Overall I made $850 off my $200 buy in plus Mitcheze paid me back the $125 he owed me for months so I came home with an extra G in my pocket. I guess I will have a winning month yahh.
