My ego/confidence is sort of getting huge. My 2007 winrate in the Stars 2/4 game is probably in the top 3 of anybody who has played > 100k hands in it.
The problem is that I am still a pathetically lazy pro. I've played ~178k hands of online cash so far this year. A lot of the people playing and winning at higher stakes (what I want to and aspire to do) played twice as many, or more, hands than me on their way up. My friend Derek who is now making > $50k a month and slaughtering 5/10 plays ~100k hands a month. But if I could play as many hands as him, according to my winrate I'd be able to make the same amount of bank as him. CTS is currently making an insane amount of money crushing 10/20-200/400. He got up there by straight up hard work. Grinding out 100k or more hands a month.
It snowballs too, because if I could just put in enough hands for a month or two, 2/4 and 3/6, I'd have enough money to go up to 5/10 and not have to worry about a 10 buyin downswing seriously hurting my finances. Then if I succeeded at 5/10 after getting used to it for a little while, which I see no reason why I wouldn't, I could expect to make even more.
I don't even do anything else. I watch TV, browse BTP and 2+2 WAY too much, and play some Halo. It's not like I'm in school or involved in some sort of community activity that eats up a lot of my time.
Anyway, enough complaining about what a lazy fuck I am, and how much money I could make if I wasn't. Here's an update for how much money I AM making.
Boy, you got me confused with a man who repeats himself.
