That is a blocking bet if Ive ever seen one. He bt the flop and called a fairly good sized raise. Looks like he has a good hand but hes not confident enough to reraise. He check/calls a 2/3 pot bet at the tun and then all of the sudden he bets $3 into a $70 pot? He wants a cheap showdown. I probably shouldve raised more than $20.

I don't know if it's just prima poker.... but I've tried using your advice for blocking bets and get killed everytime. They bet small, I raise with a good hand, they call. They bet the miniumum again... I raise, they call. They bet weakly AGAIN, I raise...they call. I lose. I wish I could say they were great players using weak leads on me but thats not the case.

On prima they don't understand betting principles. They usually bet very small with the nuts and a lot of times won't even reraise the river with their monster.

The only time I consider it a blocking bet is a hand like this where they are calling calling and then all of the sudden lead out with a suspiciously small bet at the river.

When they are making weird plays throughout the hand, its usually just a moron who doesnt know what hes doing and anything can happen.

I think your river bet was fine. He probably wasn't gonna call too much more with a single pair on the river.
