8 hours and up $318, most of it on this hand:
I'd been bleeding for a while and was down to about $550. MP raiser makes it $15, and gets 7 callers, including me in BB with 98s in clubs. Flop comes 984 with two diamonds. I bet out $75. Raiser makes it $150. I'm a bit worried about 44 here and have never played with this guy before. Then older lady (very readable regular--bets passively with mediocre hands, and strong on set or such) calls saying, "I have to call." (she has JJ) I push after trying the "move chips toward the line move (although rather ineptly, I think). I notice neither enthusiasm nor a freeze from mini-raiser. His attitude doesn't change much. Anyhow, he folds, older lady calls, and my 2 pair holds up.
Other profits came mainly from re-raised AK hands vs. loose raisers, although I guess that did nothing more than keep me pretty much even after the 2 pair hand. I had no other really big hand of note.
I did catch a guy (think his name is Jimmy) to my right raising 66 and AJs UTG to $30. I think I need to start re-raising him more. He's not exactly a regular but plays sometimes.
Then a guy named Keith who is a regular nowadays: He makes a lot of passive blocker type bets on draws, also 2-barreling, then fires big if he hits his draw.
I was a little tired after a long Friday night on the town with some friends and didn't feel like my own composure (which I'm really trying to work on--basically becoming as unreadable as possible) nor my tells from others was making much progress. I still think I have a good feel on a lot of these guys, but I'd like also to have some concrete evidence to go on, too.
Oh, here was something interesting on Daniel: He was making a lot of $70 raises out of the blue on big hands like QQ, possibly an AK. I thought that was interesting for mixing in among his extremely loose raises to $25.
