June 9th

3:30pm
4:30pm
$816
(+$26)
----------------------------------------------------

A few interesting hands:

AQ sexiness
http://cakepoker.com/HandHistory/?Hand= ... zMDHwsM%3d

I have a little past on this guy. He's loose and generally straight-forward, but folds to re-raises easily (OMG monster) if he doesn't have the goods. I've also been raising after his limps often (usually with a decent hand, but occasionally with 9-high on the BTN after he open-limps), so I think he's getting tired of me.

I doubt he has a 9, 33, or any big pair (he raises the usual AQ+ JJ+), so he'll fold to my 3-bet shove like every time. Even those few times he doesn't, I still can have clean overcards.

JJ versus the tighty
http://cakepoker.com/HandHistory/?Hand= ... zMDHwsM%3d

I don't have many hands on this guy. He seems pretty tight and straight-forward, so I elected to call for set value, or to see if he gives away his hand on one of the streets.

I should have bet more on the turn. Doesn't matter, lost my set to flush. Ah well, reload. I was hoping his flop call was with a monster pair hoping to raise me on the turn, then the turn scared him so he only called. Of course there was a possibility he only called flop with a draw (which he did), but meh... whatever. I don't think I could get away from this one on Cake.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

I turn a set w/TT and stack a shorty
http://cakepoker.com/HandHistory/?Hand= ... zMDHwsM%3d

Sometimes I raise this pre-flop, sometimes I don't. Whatever I feel like at the time. With the weakness shown, I bet that flop very often, and hell with Cakers, I could still be ahead even if they call.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Sexiness with 82s.
http://cakepoker.com/HandHistory/?Hand= ... zMDHwsM%3d

I only called the turn with intent on betting any river card. I figured him for a weak hand or draw and figured I can get him to fold on river like 80% of time. So much for nut-peddling... worked out though.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

AKs versus donkey
http://cakepoker.com/HandHistory/?Hand= ... zMDHwsM%3d

I had no reads on the guy yet. I wasn't sure if I should raise the river or not. His call on that flop should have indicated some strength considering I bet enough to put the shorty all-in. Now I know donkey likely doesn't think much when it comes to poker. Meh, I should have definitely raised the river - I would get calls from worse 2-prs all the time.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

22 sexiness
http://cakepoker.com/HandHistory/?Hand= ... zMDHwsM%3d

No way I'm folding that weak ass flop bet. I intended on raising GotLuk if he bet the river figuring he'd fold like 95% of the time, and PFR has shown so much weakness he'll fold like 90%.

And a few "LOL Cakers" hands for laughs:

lol 97o calls 3-bet

lol KQs min-re-raises and...
http://cakepoker.com/HandHistory/?Hand= ... zMDHwsM%3d

lol AA slowplay
http://cakepoker.com/HandHistory/?Hand= ... zMDHwsM%3d

lol AA slowplay with Laura adding "cant slowplay" at the end of the hand (GJ not slowplaying)

Half that micro-limit table cleared out after I added $500 in chips for the hell of it :(

I played another hour of poker:

June 9th
11:30pm-12:20pm
$890 (+$74)

BTW, the majority of my playing is simply 4-tabling the 50NL tables on Cake. These tables are SOOOOOFFFFTTTT!!! With my last session I threw in a $11 SNG for 1-table while 3-tabling the NL50s. I came in 6th in the SNG with top and bottom pair against top 2-pr (BB freebie). Bah! The players were super donkarific in the SNGs so there's obv good money to be made there too. Ah well, another day.

Even the Caker multi-tablers are AWFUL!!! I had this donkey Matador ship me two big pots. He had the audacity to call me a fish after both hands.

The hands?
K7s, I isolate since he seems to be a weak player and the blinds weren't loose. (He had TT)
http://cakepoker.com/HandHistory/?Hand= ... zMDHwsM%3d

J9o, freebie in BB. Plays itself out. (He had 66)
http://cakepoker.com/HandHistory/?Hand= ... zMDHwsM%3d

TheMatador: nc fishie
EscPlan9: good call again buddy
EscPlan9: i like your money
TheMatador: should
TheMatador: Probably hard for you to make it usually huh donk
TheMatador: lol
EscPlan9: plenty of players like you pay me
TheMatador: sure
EscPlan9: look at my stacks on the other tables
EscPlan9: i seem to be up a bit more than you
TheMatador: To donk suckouts
EscPlan9: lets see... ahead on flop both times
TheMatador: Not hard
EscPlan9: and you called to riv
TheMatador: lol
TheMatador: Ahead on flop
EscPlan9: yep
EscPlan9: post-flop is where the moneys at
TheMatador: u idiot
EscPlan9: haha okay i'm through trying to defend myself to you
EscPlan9: think what you will

I was trying to have fun but not give away any good strategies. I was tempted to add after "post-flop is where moneys at" that "and you suck at post-flop obv".

A mildly amusing Caker hand I wasn't in:
JJ slowplayed
http://cakepoker.com/HandHistory/?Hand= ... zMDHwsM%3d

What's with Cakers and these ridiculous slowplays? They end up making like 6 BBs with their monsters. It's so PATHETIC! lol

$716 => $890 in 4 hours
$174 profit
$43.5/hr

I feel like I've developed ADD late in life (sometime after pot was used regularly and then shrooms once and more pot later). The tough part about talking about it is I feel like it requires too much effort, and it strains my mind to focus enough on it. I generally can't read more than a couple paragraphs without losing focus (then getting pissed at myself for losing focus and trying to focus again). The only exceptions are interactive situations where I'm given feedback (i.e. poker, video games).

Relaxation techniques don't work for me. The most basic relaxation technique I've read is lying down and concentrating on your breathing. Guess what, it's IMPOSSIBLE for me to concentrate on my breathing for 5 seconds. My mind just goes in loops all the while and I keep trying to think about my breathing. Doesn't work!

Distractions are my life.

Bah! I was getting frustrated with my suckout after suckout last two hours at Cake costing me a total of about two full stack (lost to a bunch of medium-ish stacks) and later tilted with some bad plays costing me nearly two full stacks. Cut the session right after those hands.

The suckouts were pretty typical. I had a set versus an overpair, she catches a set on the turn. I had a set versus a flush draw, the flush makes it. I have a straight on the turn against a flush draw - the flush draw makes it. Just disgusting all around.

From $890 down to $753 (-$137).
