It's just easy to overestimate your edge. There's no bad poker players, unfortunately. All poker players who understand the rules at least are already pretty good players, they might bet too much or too little, but they don't bet or call entirely random. They will usually have some sense of hand strength too, even if they call a push with their KQ thinking it's a monster, it's often not a huge mistake, sometimes even none at all if you happen to hold a pair of jacks.
