I'm in a 1/.20 9Person SNG on Stars...(I came upon some T$ and was burning them up...and these are fun to play as a break from grinding.
I run card dead for most of the tourny and when blinds get to 50/100 there are 5 people left and I'm 3rd in chips with ~1200. Last place has been sitting out and has about 850 in chips...2nd to last has been playing manical with PF raises that just don't make any sense (half his stack when he should have been pushing...then folding to a reraise type moves, he was stealing a lot of blinds)...2nd to last place finially gets busted when the blinds hit 75/150. I still had about 1100 in chips (thanks to some blind steals but I was running very card dead) and last place (still sitting out) has about 500 in chips.
Normally when I get this low in chips, i go into super agressive mode...we're on the bubble...with 3 people active at the table, any ace would be a push (as well as some suited connectors and other hands)...But, since i was so card dead and another person was about to be blinded out, I went the other way...I just started folding (I didn't get any premium hands which I would have played had I got them)...I waited for the sitter to get blinded out (putting me ITM) and my next hand was JTs...I pushed and the button (who had limped) called with AA and I'm busted...
Was this smart, or should I have been more agressive and more worried about whinning then about getting ITM...by the way, the guy to my left was CL (with between 6000-8000 chips) and to my right was 2nd place with about 3000 in chips...I'm going from memory so don't flame me if the chip counts are exactly correct...you should get the idea...
