The gist of what I wrote was that you measure your return in ROI, and that if someone wants to db me that has paid for the subscription, I am about 200-300% I'm guessing. 8crash_jr8 at stars. That is low buy in rebuys. As you move up, the ROI goes down.

I like MTTs. I hate MTTs. I make most of my money from MTTs and live NL.

I recently read the book "The Poker Tournament Formula" by Arnold Snyder. This book covers the differences between the various structures you have to choose from. It also explains the strategy adjustments you need to make to survive to the final table in the faster (turbo) structures.

I really found it helpful and its less expensive than most poker books on the market. The author is best known for his books on BJ. Mason even mentions that in a post over on 2p2.

His ideas on position have really been a help to me. I played a stars 10FPP freeroll in the dark (didn't pay attention to my cards at all) using just his ideas on position and finished around 400 out of 3800 for a small ITM profit.

Very interesting book IMO.

Good author, but he is pretty old school. Most of the top players these days do not try to survive to the final table; they try to smash it.

In his book he doesn't say to survive, he talks about high risk plays and if you go out on a high risk move, you will be fine in the long run.
