PokerStars 0.10/0.20 Hold'em (10 handed) from (Format: FlopTurnRiver)
Preflop: Hero is Button with T, 8.
3 folds, MP1 calls, 2 folds, CO calls, Hero calls, SB completes, BB checks.
with 2 limpers, I didn't mind calling...SB had been completing frequently and BB was passive PF
Flop: (5 SB) 9, T, K (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, MP1 checks, CO checks, Hero bets, SB calls, BB folds, MP1 calls, CO calls.
When it was checked behind me, I figured nobody had a K and possibly my T's were good...I wanted an idea of where I was at so I bet out...The callers kind of confused me because I didn't see any decent draws out there...
Turn: (4.50 BB) T (4 players)
SB checks, MP1 checks, CO checks, Hero bets, SB calls, MP1 folds, CO calls.
The checks back to me suggested either a) a tricky player (who could have me outkicked) or nobody had a T...Since none of the players that were in the pot had shown any sign of trickiness, I figured that maybe a few of them had K's with low kickers that they didn't bet on the flop (had they, I probably would have folded). Again, I bet out...
River: (7.50 BB) 6 (3 players)
SB checks, CO checks, Hero bets, SB calls, CO folds.
I almost checked this, figuring that not many hands that I beat call here and I could be out kicked on the T's by one or both of these guys...Since no agression had been shown, I figured a value bet was best and if I was out kicked, so be it...
Final Pot: 9.50 BB
Thoughts on the hand...I like the way I played this, but I also see where I should have checked the river for the free showdown in case I'm outkicked...the more I think about it, I liked the value bet on the river...am I wrong?
