How much will I get raked - NL various levels?

Postby snok » Fri Jun 10, 2005 4:51 am

Dear all - silly question coming from newbieplayer.

How much do you normally get "raked" when playing at various limits?

Could anybody here give some specific practical examples?

Say, for instance, that I play a certain NL low-level (0.25/0.50 ) for 10 000 hands.
What could typical total rakes amount to, assuming a tight& aggressive style with a VPIP of ca 20%?

And how would that depend on the level (0.50/1.0, 1/2, 2/4) ? It would differ because of the cap at a few USD.

Also, what is considered a Raked hand that contributes to the above totals?
Any hand I've volountarily put monies into, or any put I've won, or any pot I saw the flop in, or all pots played while I was seated at the table, or WHAT?

Confused newbie eager to learn,

Snok

On Party at $.10/$.25 NL tables, when the pot reaches $2 (must see a flop), $.10 is raked. Then it goes up a little bit as the pot grow. Max rake is $3, I believe.

At Party (& skins), I've played 13,829 hands. Of that, 8,612 have been raked. If I'm reading PT correctly, the average pot has been $9.17 and the total rake has been $439.
