It's been forever since I played last. I haven't wanted to go gamble but the last two weeks I've wanted to go and have been sick. Today I made my return to 1/1/2 SL...Put $232 on the table total and walked away with $578...$346 winnings.

Double up: With about $190 behind, I had [9h] [6h] in CO, three limpers to me, five of us see the flop, UTG, MP, button and BB. Flop is [Qc] [9s] [7h]. Checks to me, and I bet $12 into the $20 pot. BB(a Calling station who bets his hands) calls. He covers. Turn is [Jh], and he leads $40 into me. I think about for 15 seconds, deciding he has a very big hand he made on the turn, and if I hit my flush, I will get paid. I call. Wasn't sure if trips would win. River is [Ah]. He bets $60, I push after about five seconds and he calls immediately, and flips up KT for the straight. The price I was getting for my hand on the turn was pretty close, but I don't mind getting money in on a barely EV hand like that if it means I can accumulate some chips to play with. I was extremely confident that he would pay me off though, from seeing his play a few times before as well as today.

The rest of the night was me winning a pot with AK after I runner runner the nuts on a 8T3JQ board and my opponent checks the whole way and called my river raise with 99. He though it was a bad play on his part...I decided it was a cooler hand, although I did play tight enough he might have gotten away from a bigger river raise. Also, had an Ace high flush beat a lower flush, and won a couple other smaller pots. Didn't play many hands at all, and didn't have a big PP except for KK OTB which I won with a CB on the flop. No tough decisions all night long...I wish all my sessions were like this.

Played at my friend's place in San Jose. 1/2 NL Hold'em. Everyone starts with a small amount, but they buy in for more and more, so the stacks get pretty big. There were 4 stacks over $350 at the end of the night. After running cold on my first and second buyins, I finally hit a couple of hands, and let all the aggro players bet them for me...plus I bluffed a few times successfully against the right two people. Never ever bluffing anyone else. I wish this game was closer so I would go to it more often...it runs about 2-3 times a week.

Ended up $91 on the day after about 4 hours.

I gave away money tonight against some really bad players, but still ended up a winner for the night. I couldn't look anywhere and not find a horrible player, but for some reason I started the first couple of hours down about $200 because of me calling down a more aggro older guy on a paired board with a weak kicker and then running KK into [Kh] [Qh]...that was the worst player of the bunch and he took the most off the table. Finally, flopped a FH against a straddler with 44 on a 433 flop where he has J3 and take his stack...and right after that scoring another big pot off the same guy and the drunk guy to my right on a four flush unpaired board with the highest flush...I ended up $76 although it could have been more if I had made the 'correct' play on this hand...problem was I had three calling stations/aggro's behind me...I thought I was pretty much going to get trapped for alot of money if I raised, and if I called, someone was going to CR here...

I hate poker sometimes. That being said, I plan to go up to Tahoe this weekend and play alot and drink and have a good time at the 2/3 NL300 game at Harvey's, and have some French Onion Soup...good stuff with the melted cheese on top...mmmmm.
