I know I am a sucker for lending you money, but I am obv weakhearted when it comes to ghey nits living in the middle of nowhere in Sweden. I still wonder if I'll ever see that money again, but I see that just as some extra tax that you greenies is putting on us hardworking urban people who actually contribute to the financial survival of this country.

Guess I shouldn't have updated this sucker 'cos I just got molested at the NL $100's. Lost $622 in 1300 hands for a ptbb of -24. Ooops?

Here's how it went down...

Stack #1
LAG opens to 4, I reraise to 10 with JTs on the button. BB cold calls (!?).

Flop comes KJ2 with a flush draw, checked to me, I bet 20. BB flat calls (AK seems most likely... slowplayed AA/KK.. flush draw with AQs maybe?

Turn is another J. Sweet! I just outdrew AK! I bet 50, he pushes for 20 more. He has 22 and I don't improve. Bit surprised he called a raise and reraise but he sure did get paid off...

Stack #2

LAG opens in EP and I call otb with JTs. BB comes along (sound familliar?). Flop comes Q97 with my flush draw, so I have a monster OESFD. LAG bets 5 into the 12 pot, I overbet push. He calls with QJ(!?) so I'm a favorite but don't improve.


Stack #3

Muppet miniraises UTG and everyone calls. I'm in the BB with AQs and re-raise big to 12.5. Muppet and button calls.

Flop comes A69 with a flush draw and I lead out pot sized, both guys get it in. I figure I got to call although I'm fairly sure I am behind here. Maybe they have AJ and a flush draw... nope, muppet has AK and button has 66 so I'm pretty dead.


Stack #4

Unknown player opens OTB to 3, I am in the BB with AA and re-raise to 11, he calls. Flop comes Q94 with a club draw, I have the Ace of clubs. I check, he bets 5 and I raise to 25. He minireraises me... uh oh... I push and he calls with 44 and I miss my two outer.


Stack #5

LAG opens to 3.50, I reraise to 10 otb with JJ. Flop comes QT3 with a club draw. He checks, I check behind. Turn is a brick, he pots it at 20. Hmm.. I figure he's trying to push me off, but I still don't want to call with all these draws out so I push. He of course calls with QT, I die.



So I got stacked 5 times and only stacked one guy (I had KK, he had K3, I flopped a set and he refused to surrender TPNK). Checking my misc stats I even lost money with two-pair, and only made 11 on three of a kind, 11 on straights and 75 on flushes and better. Obviously I did not hit and get paid off, and as you can see I donked off a bit in some hands.

I think it was a combination of cold runs and bad play, as it usually is when you have a losing session. I had AA seven times but ended up making a net loss of a stack on them. Ran pokerEV and it seems to back up that analysis.

One thing to note is that I was playing looser and more aggressive. My stats ended up at 20.5/15.4 which is almost 3/3 higher than my normal rate. Obviously I did not pick the right spots.



On the good side, I did what every responsible poker player would do when he's losing. I moved up in stakes. Played 337 hands of NL $200 and 37 hands of NL $400 and managed a $395 win, so the total loss of the day was limited to $227.

Thanks to the dollar being so weak today wasn't my biggest loss ever

Still, it was pretty sick... lost almost 8 buyins, $765.20 in 1300 hands for a negative ptbb of 30. Ouch.

Had AA 5 times, won the blinds 4 times and got stacked by JJ the fifth time after re-raising preflop and flopping J88.

Had AK 22 times and finished almost a buyin down with them. Biggest AK win was $6.50. Lost almost a stack when I raised OTB and the muppet BB re-raised, I pushed and he snap called with 88 which held.

Made $7 total with KK.

Had QQ 7 times. Won the blinds 5 times, ran into Aces for a stack once and saw a flop with AKx and folded losing $14 once.

Lost $25 with JJ (8 times).

In fact, I lost $525 with pocket pairs. One big stack with 44 where I river a set, giving the villain an unlikely straight.

People made some really sick plays against me to. LP shortstack raises and I re-raise big with 55, he calls with Q6o. Flop comes 239 rainbow and he calls my pot sized bet, basically putting 2/3 of his stack in, turn is a 6. Weird.


So I lost money with AA, AK, QQ and JJ. Did I make any money with any hands? Well yes, actually. I won *one* big pot today, with 75s. I open-raise on the button, BB calls with AK. Flop comes 346 all spades (I haven't got the straight flush, just the straight). BB check calls my slight overbet, then mini-check-raises me on the turn when he hits the and I get it in. He didn't hit his flush outs and I dragged.

My stats didn't look too abnormal. 19/16 is pretty standard. Of course my won when saw flop is usually higher than 43% and my won at showdown isn't usually 38% like it was today...

Anyway, I don't feel TOO bad about it, although it of course sucks to loose like 30% of your current bankroll (I've withdrawn $3k to pay for my trip to France next week). In fact, I think I should have set and followed a stop loss at like $400. Will do that next time since I only have like 18 buyins left. Will be nice to get rakeback this month though. I've put in 23k hands and should get like $650 in RB. My previously nice ptbb (10+) of this month is shot though, down to a despicable 7.8.
