Hi,

I was playing a hand and would like to get some opinions on it. I don't have the HH so from memory here goes.

PLO 0.25/0.50

I get dealt Td Jd Q K in late position and have a stack of around $50.

A few limp in and I raise it to $2. Get two callers (one behind me)

The flop comes 7d 8c 9d.

The first player to act bets $5 and has around a $50 stack as well.

I raise it to $20. My reasoning is that I don't really want to see another diamond or the board to pair. The only way my hand can improve is to get a higher straight.

The only hand I really want him to have is 6T or 56 or maybe TJ if he has not redraw.

The third player folded and so did the initial raiser.

The question now is, should I have bet less to keep him in or did I do the right thing by playing strong so he can't draw out on me without paying for it?

Also, as an aside, I got taken out on another hand with the big full (QQQ44) against quads (4444). At these limits would you always go all the way with the big full (there was no K or A on the board)?

with my limited PLO experiences, you def. played this hand correctly. if i've learned anything through playing badly, its don't worry about extracting...with hands like this one where you're ahead on the flop, but can't really improve vs. drawing hands, you need to make people pay to draw against you.

You played this hand correctly and should always go broke on top boat with 100BBs.
