Last nights session. The 2 big drops early on were the 2 hands I posted above. They happened practically one right after another at 2 different tables. Was very discouraging knowing that I would once again be spending the rest of the session trying to dig my way out.

Definitely did not run well last night.

Nor am I running well for the month so far.

Does anyone know if there is a way to get PT to show me how many times I get CR'd playing NL6max? Played about 700 hands tonight and I swear to god I got CR'd about 50 times. I'm NOT exagerating I don't think and I'd like to be able to see it in PT. And it wasn't the same person doing it every time either. It's like all of a sudden CR'ing seems to be "The In Thing" at Full Tilt Poker. At least at the NL25 6max tables.

Besides the CR'ing that I am getting hit with, I am also running like ass for the month.

I lost 4 buyins last night and won back 2 of them tonight. I sure wish I was running better this month because after last months success, I took a bunch of days off from work this month so that I could a) Have 3 short weeks in a row going into December which is always a bitch at the Post Office. b) Play a lot more poker than I normally get to.
For the next 3 weeks I have a 4 day weekend, followed by a 3 day weekend followed by a 5 day weekend. And I also worked my schedule around so that I could go in early and get off early on fridays all month so as to start these long weekends even earlier.
:D

Anyways, here are a few hands from tonights session. The last 2 are ones I may need some help on.

This dude instacalled my allin PF 3bet faster than I have EVER been called. Even seemed like he beat me into the pot although I know thats impossible. Can't blame him though right? I mean he did have 55. :D He was one of those guys with a vpip higher than his IQ which is why I pushed as I figured he would call me with a WIDE range of hands and I knew if I waited til AFTER the flop and then lost I'd be pissed more than if I did it this way.

This one I need help with, I changed my thought process in mid hand for some reason that I haven't figured out yet. I just called the flop because I felt like I wanted to keep UTG+1 in the hand if possible. But then on the turn, all of a sudden I started feeling like that had been a stupid thought and I wanted him out of there after the SB had got all his money in.
If I had it to do over, I think I would have raised the flop. But part of me is saying I should have called the flop and then just called the turn as well to try and get more out of the UTG+1. Arrgghh, I hate feeling like I played it without having a clue as to which was correct.

Alot of the time a half pot or slightly more than half pot continuation bet gets the same results as a full pot bet on the flop (they are probably either going to call or fold or CR regardless of the difference in the size of your continuation bet there as long as it is at least half pot). This has alot of upside in my opinion as you keep the pot smaller when you are in trouble and when you are ahead and get called you still shouldn't have too much problem getting a fair amount in by the river. Just really no sense in committing alot more chips into a pot early on when you can get the job done cheaper without getting yourself committed to a hand that doesn't deserve it. If you stay consistent with that it allows you to get away from those CR's alot more cheaply when necessary. Just a thought.

2) to a weak raise like that you're not deep enough to make a standard reraise, so ya, a shove is fine. but i'm expecting to lose this one like 70% of the time.

3)if you're prepared to let it go if the FD hits than flat calling is ok. personally i'm going to be pushing the action on that flop.

i somewhat agree with piers re: CB sizes. they dont always have to be full pot to take it down but i dont think 1/2 pot is enough to get people to fold however. i think 3/4-full pot is big enough for CB's. just make sure you mix it up and play some made hands the same way.

I'm so tired of this kinda shit all month. :x

Villain in this hand I have over 2150 hands of history on him and until this pot he was exactly a break even player. Well I guess I can sleep better now knowing that he wont commit suicide over playing that much and not having anything to show for it. (I on the other hand am looking for that sharp knife I had lying around here somewhere)
