Played a home-game at my pad with a bunch of local homies - bought in for $200 and ended up cashing $340 though I was close to $600 at my high point when this hand came along:
Sweet. Right before he had been down to his last $110, Mitch had shoved for $21 in the CO and I had just called OTB with 10-10 - Abbott of course open shoves from the BB and I have to call because he only had $110 to start the hand.
He has K-J and of course spikes a jack for like $250 and then that hand. Awesome.
Still I played decent, tilted a little after I got cold-decked twice in the beginning and was gonna have to re-buy when I sucked out on A-A for my last $40 bones.
Ran "OK" by my standards - no sets (at least 20 PP's), one time I got A-A UTG raised and I said re-raise on the button and then they called misdeal based on some ridiculous circumstance (I had asked to be dealt out in the BB, they deal me in anyways and it gets raised so I fold obviously and I still have to finish my business so when I come back they had me on the dealer button as a 2nd small since I paid the big - this seemed like a fair situation and reasonable to me, since I paid my big when I didn't have to and I was still paying my small. I also live here
so how about a little god-damned leeway? Anyways they called misdeal and I had to fold), got KK 3 times, lost $250, $70, and $30 with it, got cold-decked with Q-Q against A-A in the BB after I had opened for $15 and he shoved for $60.
Still, made a few sick plays, flopped quads on the last hand of the night and somehow made money.
Limp K-10, flop is 10-10-10. Checks around. Turn is an Ace (LOL), checks, BB bets $12 - I say "so that means you definitely don't have an Ace" and call - the SB looks disgusted and goes "Oh, so & so flopped quads huh? I can't fold - I call." River is a J and he says "Raise me with your quads sir" and leads $15. I min-raise to $30 and he insta-calls.
LOL - poor guy was still tilting a little, unbelievable call - looks me straight in the eyes when he says "raise me if you flopped it" I look right back into his and say "minimum-raise" and he insta-calls. Too classic.
