Just played an hour of 1 table 6-max PLO and 2 tables 6-max PLO8, both shortish stacked at $25 level. I was starting with $7, but wasn't leaving if I won or doubled. I don't know, since I'm not much of a PLO player, you tell me. I did just realize that I seem to accumulate FPP's faster this way than in NLHE.

#1 - I was going for the c/r here, but it failed. Is that so wrong and am I supposed to fold top set here on the turn? I thought the possible straight outs helped me too.

Eh, again, a little too loose, but it was my last round. I had been taking down a lot of pots with flop bets and got a little too cocky. However, post-flop, I read him for A2 and thought I had the hi 1/2 and had a shot at scooping with the Ace. Of course, in hindsight he coulda had A24 easily and been free-rolling, but I didn't expect the 7. Chalk this up to stupidity and an amatuer mistake that I thought I was better than in this game. It's pretty embarrassing.

Strange occurance tonight. I end up playing my first NL cash session since Saturday. I really didn't even want to play and a lot of times when I force myself to play, I end up regretting it.

So I'm 3-tabling NL50 FR as normal, which is difficult enough without distraction when my phone rings. Short version, friend of mine did one of those guest bartending things that I still don't really get, but whatever. She's the kind of person that never cleans up phone books or e-mail lists so she's still sending out e-mails to everyone she's ever known. Apparenly, ex love of her life who she hasn't seen in years shows up and hangs out all night. Current boyfriend of 2 years isn't there. She's confused and decides to call me on the way home cause I'm the only person still awake after 11pm. All this while I'm 3-tabling as mentioned. And right in the middle, the following odd hand occured which pretty much made the session.

[As][Qd] ($50.60) UTG+1 - 8 handed
I open-limp, cause that's what I do.
MP1 limps.
CO ($12.15) raises to $2.50
BB ($78.20) calls

CO is pretty horrible and loose, running at 42/15 and only has $9.65 left so I re-pop to $10. CO just calls, leaving $2.15 behind for some reason and BB folds.

Remember, I am still on the phone listening to the drama as well.

Flop [Kc][Jh][9c]
I figure I'm screwed now, but it's just $2.15 more so I bet $3 and put him in. BUT CO FOLDS!

WTF? Ok, that was wierd, but why isn't the pot being pushed to me? It is only then that I notice that BB was still in the hand. He had called the re-raise to $10 also. I thought the pot was a little large. I have not seen him act up yet, his VP$IP was only 18% so I have no idea what's going on as he calls the $3.

Turn [9s] and it gets checked as I have a feeling that I'm dead. Pot is $36.76

River [Jc] which I'm guessing is the miracle card even though it's a club and pairs the board because BB checked and I didn't see a c/r coming here. I bet $15 and BB folded.

I still have no clue what anyone was thinking in that hand.

Today was almost a complete waste of time, but I did manage to get it in with way the worst hand (trapped after c-bet w/ only backdoor flush and straight draws) and win my way into PCA Step 3. WTF am I gonna do with A6 3-handed and 200/400 blinds?

Technically I've turned my $7.50 into $82 so far, but it's not like I'm gonna ever really see any of that money. But basically, if I last 1 more SNG, I've made back my original investment in FPP's....I think. (This is only based on 500 FPP's being worth $50 per the deposit bonus - so is figuring 75 FPP's = $7.50 so wrong?)

Otherwise, the answer to today's late MTT's:
Razz sucks - start with 234, get all-in and finish with 234QJJQ
[Jc][Jd] < [8c][8d] all-in preflop. 8 on the turn (thought I posted this hand here before but I can't find it. I dunno wtf I did with it)
JJ in BB < AQ OTB all-in preflop for the bubble in the $25K

I had a flashback to last month tonight when nobody was folding to my raises or c-bets. Poker's not much fun when they can see your cards.

$0.25/$0.5 No Limit Holdem
8 players
Converted at

Stacks:
UTG ($116.80)
UTG+1 ($10.75)
MP1 ($16.20)
MP2 ($92.95)
Hero ($62.90)
BTN ($36.30)
SB ($60.60)
BB ($30.75)

Pre-flop: ($0.75, 8 players) Hero is CO [Jd][Ah]
4 folds, Hero raises to $1.75, 2 folds, BB calls $1.25

Flop: [6h][Qs][Ts] ($3.75, 2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $3, BB calls $3

Turn: [Qd] ($9.75, 2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks

River: [4d] ($9.75, 2 players)
BB bets $2.5, Hero raises to $6.5, BB calls $4

Final Pot: $22.75
Hero shows: [Jd][Ah]
BB shows: [4s][As]

BB wins $21.65 ( won +$10.4 )
Hero lost -$11.25

Not just a call here, but an insta-call. Strange since he played his trips the same exact way against me earlier. Insta-fucking-call! I almost raised more, but I wanted it to look like I wanted a call. Silly me, or maybe lucky me. This guy played 3 hands perfectly against the cards I was holding.

Every card I tried to rep tonight was actually either in my opponents hand or was a hand they beat by the river. Also saved myself 3x tonight though. Twice I had the nuts on the river checked to me and I decided to check behind instead of bet. Another, I raised with AK after 2 limpers and was called by just one very weak tight player. Flop came JJT and I decided to check behind. Turn was a blank and he bet 2/3 pot, I call. River is A, he bets full pot, I fold. His AF was 0.36. I'm postive he had at least a J if not TT.

Still trying to catch that red line.
My actual PTBB = +6.3 (+12.67 real BB/100)
My Sklansky Bucks PTBB = +11.3

Will probably be playing more cash games than tournies this week because I have less time to devote to poker this week. Make that probably the next 2 weeks with the holiday coming up too.

Part 1: Super Ugly

I had been waiting to catch this fish for about an hour and I finally was able to stack off against him. Thought he had trash, as he's had all night, and wanted to try to keep him in. Unfortunately I was right and he turned great, rivered better.

But that's ok, because I finally caught my 2nd fish that I'd been waiting for all night. He hadn't believed a bet I'd made all night, twice calling me down with A-hi. So much for top set though this week. Q-hi good vs top set. Least I didn't lose much, right?

Only won 2 other pots more than $10, but most importantly, didn't lose a pot over $7 all day long in 3 hours of play. No sets all day either and I still finished up over 2 stacks.

Tournaments today were another story. Had an engagement party/brunch earlier today and felt too tired to play, but forced myself. Mistake. Didn't play bad or tired at all, just card dead and unlucky.

$82 PCA STEP 3 SNG
Folded my first 34 unplayable hands until blinds are 50/100 and I'm sitting on 1,275. Play my first hand, my first raise w/ [Kh][Qc] and the guy that's been playin every hand pushes, but he was so short that I had to call getting 2.5 to 1. He has [Ac][Js]. Ace on the flop. Next hand I open push my last 490 w/ [Qc][Js], called by BB w/ [2d][2c] and he holds up. I'm out 9th out of 9. Did not win 1 hand.

$22 180 player SNG
I make 4 PFR's and 3 of them are met with all-ins. 1 was a bluff re-raise against an open-button raise. Other 3 were marginal starting hands (88, AJ). Still manage to double my starting stack then lose another coin flip with AK vs JJ all-in preflop.

$16.50 NLHE MTT
37 hands, I did not win 1 hand for the 2nd tournament today. Blinds 25/50. 4 limpers and I push 840 from SB w/ 99. 1st limper folds, 2nd limper insta-calls with QJo. Lose another coin flip. 0 for 3 in all-in coinflips today.

Only played poker twice this week so far. Running pretty shitty in tournaments past few weeks. Results are better a very small sample of cash game hands (338) this week. Pretty much a lot of breaking even past 2 weeks overall.

Tournaments: I've felt very focused and like I'm playing well, especially tonight, but getting it in good seems to be overrated. In 6 MTT's this week:

1 - [9c][9s] < [As][6s] all-in on a [3c][6c][5s] flop. I was planning on c/r'ing the button raiser on the flop, but he did my work for me when he shoved 1300 into a 250 pot. Knew I had him beat (74%). [6h] on the river.

2 - Apparently I don't only suck at HORSE MTT's, but I run like shit as well.
Stud Hi [Jd][Ah][Ad][Jh] < xx[2d][Jc] all-in. Trip 2's on 6th street.

7-card Stud Hi: 500000 sampled outcomes

3 - Why is it that the big stack is never squeezing here?

MP1 lost -600

4 - Put in 1/3 of my stack preflop w/ AQs, get out-flopped by big stacked card rack with 98s who then comments that everyone is "donating" their stacks to him when he makes bad preflop calls w/o good odds. Just like he said when his K3s out-flopped QQ with 1/2 the stacks in preflop.

5 - AQ < 88 all-in preflop. Insta-call of my push too like I couldn't have 88 beat when I wasn't even short-stacked. 98A flop.

6 - TT < 99 all-in preflop. 1 outter on the river with a little over 100 left in the 20K at Stars tonight. Woulda put me in the top 20.

Cash hands - 1 hand worth speaking of:
