I'm going to start posting my progress for my journey on what seems to be a difficult task. I started playing on PS using a .47 cent bank.

The vehicle was freerolls to start then as my bank grew I graduated to ring games @ .02/.05 NL using some stuff I picked up from both Ice and Excession.
Tourneys were 10 FPPs that gained me entry into a $500 tourney, $1.20 SnGs, $1.10 MTTs using some stuff I learned from Lee Nelson. I also started playing some $5.50 SnGs which I did OK on. Unfortunately I managed to dump $11 from a high of a $61 bank, so I have to go back to lower stakes again. I'm going to try and follow Ferguson's bankroll advice which is 2% of your bank on MTTs and 5% for ring or SnGs.

I'm not posting some of the more memorable suckouts but I will post my current ring stats along with what PokerEV tells me what I should be making.

Current update;

After a major surge in my roll, I'm now playing $5.50 SnGs (3) at a time and doing very well with them
New stakes for MTTs will be $2 or $3 ones.
Ring stakes will be short table .10/.25 NL. PokerEv tells me that I was way below EV for my .02/.05 play. I'll probably concentrate on tournament play more and incorporate some Razz play.

If I may ask, why razz?

My last three hands that I played this morning.

I’ve got Qs and get raised by a guy who has 40/40 stats. I put him all in and he calls with Js. OK I’ve got him dominated but he hits his 3rd jack on the river. (1/22).

Same guy:

He raises me with AA and I have KQs I just call. The flop comes rainbow K,Q, brick. He shoves all in and I call. The turn is an A, the river comes Ace. Geez he found the case Ace. (1/45)

Same guy again:

I’ve got Aks and this time he puts me all-in. Getting tired of this complete donk with 40/40 stats I call. He flips over As again and takes me down again. OK this time he had a real hand and I was the dog. What PokerEV tells me aoubt my low stakes play so far. (500 hands)


What would some of you have done against this guy?

Having a tough time pulling ahead enough to get a large enough of a bank to do some good. MTTs have been pretty good to me though. I've made 1 final table, placed 12th and 15th and I've had a good number of top 50 places. Here's a graphic of last night's play.
