The 4th Foxwoods Mega Stack Challenge is scheduled for 12-13 (and 12/14 if you make it that far)..the previous ones (can check them out on foxwoods web site) have paid over $ 100K. its a $3000 buy in but there are qualifiers..

for $100 you can play to get a seat in the $400 qualifier...then run daily at 1 and 7 pm except I played yesterday at 1 and only 9 people showed up and stayed for the 7pm and only 3 people showed up (need 5 to play)...that sort of surprised me given its so close to the date of 12-13.

for $400 you can play in a multi table (those have been running at about 2-4 tables) though they may get bigger as it gets closer to the date..winners get seats to the $3000 event.

Sort of told myself that I would make 2 attempts at getting a seat starting with the $100 qualifier but that isn't going to happen since the turn outs are so sucky so I will play in the $ 400 -only 3 left
Sunday 12/9 at 6 pm
Wednesday 12/12 at 10 am and again at 6 pm

leaving on vacation 12/18 and since I know Xaston will be there on the 13th for the main event and since he has urged me to play in it (he says because its good money and wouldn't it be nice if I won some of that good money right before vacation and that really bad poker players are in it) which I translated to ( because the more bad poker players in it the greater his chances are to win and he believes I suck at playing poker)...so anyway for you locals to this area...its a good tournament...in a good poker room..

and speaking of locals...where has Shamdonk gone to? I sort of miss him....


here is another example of why I hate playing with women...$ 100 buy in tournament, 100 people...I have about $ 15K, woman to my right has about $ 25K...blinds are 300/600...guy who has been short stacked and has gone in 3 times in a row all in winning the blinds goes in again for $ 4200....woman to my right doesn't hesitate and calls the all in, I look down and see AK....now I clearly would have called the guys $ 4200 all in with AK, I hesitate for a moment trying to decide if I should go all in or just call to see the flop...I just call..flop comes out AKJ....woman thinks for a second and says "all in"..I gotta call..though I absolutely said to myself...there is no way she would have/should have called a 4200 raise with Q-10....yeah thats the end of that story..I hate playing poker with women...and yes I should have gone all in with my AK pre flop since maybe just maybe she would have laid down her hand...

can you call them and see if they will come play on the 13th..I'll buy them lunch

I never played w/ him but all my 5/10 friends say he's a solid player till he decides to stack off. As I understand he knows what he's doing but doesnt care about the money at all so he tries to make moves randomly and will stack off large amounts of money. My friend justin says he's up 10k off woods from like 6 sessions. and lol @ live donk...you internet guys cant eat w/ live players in a live game.
