This is my third journal Ive started on BTP and hopefully the last.

After going busto three times and reviewing all my 24K hands logged in poker tracker I have come to a startling conclusion.

I play like ass. Or at least I used to. With $1 left in my FTP account I managed to grind up to about $45 playing sitngos and 1 tabling NL10 and today I won a 90man 3.30 KO for $72. I am still down long run but only about 20buys or so.

With 12 buys I should be able to 2table effectively and move up sometime in 2016. I find that if I more than two table my decision making ability goes down and I lose money.

Anyway, hopefully this journal will become an entertaining addition to BTP. I will be posting hands from my sessions daily and would enjoy any and all feedback from you guys.

So anyway, I notice I lose lots a money with one pair, high card and 2 pair.
Im profitable from the button/CO and losing the majority of my money from the BB, probably cause I cold call too much with hands like AQo when I should 3bet.

My rules are as follows:

1)Super nitty tight from UTG and a wider as we move towards OTB and WIDE from OTB.
2)Never open limp. Always open in a folded pot with my starting range and tighten up my range for opening in a limped pot.
3) Never complete the SB with trash. Complete in multiway pots with high implied odds hands (Axs, 67s+, etc.) and raise with UTG range hands.
4) CB 60-70% of flops. Never c bet highly coordinated boards, even with a piece. Just check behind with AK on a KQJ twotone board with 3 in. This flop just SMACKS my opponents ranges hard and I dont think Im ahead often enough to bloat a pot.
5) Never straight bluff. Semi-bluff yes. A10o on a KJ7 board just check fold.
6) Don't battle with the shortstacks (which are extremely common on FTP for some weird reason). Take big pairs and TPTK hands to war with them but try and find tables where there are fullstack donks.
thoughts on these?

CR shove TPTK hands on dry boards to the flop minraise?
Fold overpairs OOP to the flop CB call-turn raise? I find 90% of the time this is a set at NL10.

BR:
22 x 25 for NL25 =$550 and move back to NL10 if I drop below $500
23 x 50 for NL50=$1150 and move back down to NL25 if I drop below $1000 and so on


Aside, take notes on players as often as possible, don't bluff, play ABC, don't bluff, try and avoid tilting off stacks and don't bluff.

Started out today by playing 3 3+0.30 KOs. I decided to do it just for fun and to get me warmed up for cash games. AK<KJ allin for an 88th place finish in number one. I know I shouldnt get involved in possible coin tosses early in tourneys but these donks will call any two paint cards all in and its a good way to double up. I guess Ill play nittight early on from now on.

I came in 12th and 11th in the other two, just out of the money. Tsk tsk stealing blinds with 107s and off course BB has AK.

On to the cash games, I finished my first session today up almost 3 buyins over 500 hands or so, would have been more but my aces got cracked twice.

Bad bluff but a nice result. This ass was rasining my blind every orbit so I wanted to take a stand to mix it up. He was obv not strong considering he didnt reraise MY ten, so I figured I push and i might take it down. These bluffs usually lose me money however.

So ya not much to tell. I played a $3.30 90man, came in 12th and a 2.25 and busted like 120 out of 500. Stupid steals with rags on the button run into AK or KQ meh.

Then I played 100 hands 10NL and won like 3 buyins. Some guy basically GAVE me three buyins when he was pushing with any two and had a $25 stack. Hand one I doubled up when my AJs>99 and hand 2 my KK>96s.

Lol. I'm pretty bagged and have to do an assignment early tomorrow morning so I'm going to bed.

Ran just so stupid bad today. I had to stop cause I know I was going to tilt off a ton.

Over pair ran into set about 6 times. I check raised a shorty all in with 10s on a 733 board and of course he had 77.

I put another shorty all in with aces on a Q73 board and of course he had 77.

3bet AQ from the BB and flop top pair on a Q105 board. Bet pot AK calls and turns his gutshot. Just brutal.

Worst hand by far was I was at a table 250BB deep with another big stack and I flopped the nut straight with J10 on a Q89 board. He calls al in on the turn for a $50 pot and flips QJ lol. Of course he hits a 10 for a split.

Im playing pretty good regardless of the beats and only managed to lose a buy in. Pretty stupid day today though.

K seriously wtf am i doing wrong. I know i sux and erything but maybe you could help me out. I refuse to give up at this game until I become a winning player and I have always been successful at everything else in my life but I need some coaching. I thought my numbers looked ok from pokertracker but then again I dunno wtf.












I guarantee a lot of my -winrate is tilting/making stupid decisions/bluffing but i seem to take some pretty stupid beats for full stacks too.

It seems like, and my graph shows this in a lot of spots, I grind up a buyin stealing blinds and cbetting and then I get it in with the wayyy best hand for a full stack and more and lose.

not less aggressive, but less hands

your AF's look OK but you're playing too many hands. at $10nl you should def. be playing only premium starting hands.



hopefully you can make that out...start by playing the yellow highlighted hands...theres even a few in there that i might throw out...
