Wulf... I don't know if it's the "best way" to play, but I just PRESSURE PRESSURE PRESSURE... I don't let ANYBODY see a free flop... A lot of people play VERY conservatively, and basically pray that one of the other two guys will get knocked out... It's pretty easy to exploit that and pick up a lot of easy pots... Also, you're MUCH more likely to get callers when you actually DO get a hand...

Same for heads up... Just keep the pressure on...

lol well what if the players your playing are just as aggressive, i'd hate to lose it all on the wrong hand because i wanted to steal the pot...

i've played it differently though, i always let the aggresser bet at me when i have a good set hand then punish him for it...doesn't always work.

Its position and aggression. Use the button and raise unraised pots on the BB. You'll get an answer and if it goes to a flop make a decision there. NEVER just call.

I agree with the guys above. If you are a short stack in the final 3, if you get a medium to higher pair, push em, a big ace, push em, etc.

When the players are aggressive and you know that a 3 times BB raise won't make them fold, or you are going to be pot committed anyways, it makes more sense to push rather than just raise.

If you are chip leader or close to it, I try to let the other guys fight it out unless I get a monster starting hand, and then I'll mix it up. I will also defend my big blind with a small raise if I have something decent.

Welcome Gimp. This is a great place to learn about poker and improve your game. Don't be afraid to post hands you want feedback on - even if you think it might be a "dumb" question. I've posted many dumb posts and people have always treated me well and with respect - even if they don't treat me that way on the tables.

Nash - thanks for the clear and concise tips on playing the final three. I have printed it out and it is sitting beside my computer. Now I just need to get ITM so I can practice enough to learn them.
