~ -300 bb over the last 13k hands. I suppose I should at least be grateful for the uptick at the beginning, or I'd be busto again, but fuck.

The ironic part is that I've played better during the downswing than at any point before it. Everything i look at in PT, pokerev, and reviewing hands supports better play, except the bottom line.

Anyway, after what happened in dec, i'm not mentally equipped to deal with another brutal month. I'm taking a break from lhe. Lets say a week. I've signed up at DC, so i'll spend some time watching vids there and maybe revisit some books. May donk around some 50NL if I feel the itch to play.

And re. KK hand, you're right dan. Given preflop cap, there's a chance I could get a lot of action from AA/AK. The guy happened to have a set, but i don't know if the mizors even pay off if i raise the turn three way with underpairs. Even if they do, i think sacrificing the one bet by raising flop instead of turn is worth it given the potential for a massive pot against an AA/AK or lower set as was the case.

Couldn't sleep so played some 50NL. 600 hands, +240. Only 140 of the 240 was in actual showdown pots. I don't understand NL at all. Everyone keeps folding.

I'm officially hooked. Played about 2800 hands of 50nl now. Pretty much just trying to imitate the DC vids. Still overvaluing one pair hands a little too much, but otherwise i've only made a total of 3 horrible mistakes in the 2800 hands. Also making a few bad flop calls with marginal hands with no plan for the turn. LHE habit. Anyway, I've seen enough to consider taking this NL thing seriously. Ordered a couple books, will look into it more in the near future if i get bizzled again when i go back to limit.



Of course i'm running 120 over ev and another 3 stacks came on hand which kinda played itself.

One thing I noticed i tend to do when I play NL again is getting it in with TPTK and getting stacked over and over.
It is hard when you are used to playing limit.

Mjeh. I'd agree, but i really miss cring flop with a gutshot, peeling the 3bet, picking up a pair on the turn and cring the rivered 2pr again.

Don't worry you'll eventually find someone who has a hand play out just like that after you get it in on the flop.

Well... i think i'm sorta getting the hang of this NL stuff. After 7k hands, winning a shade under 5ptbb/100, which i'm told is respectable for a noob, but as per stats below, i'm playing like a monkey most of the time. According to pokerev i'm running exactly right, but i'm playing badly in large pots. In the 60bb+ category, i'm +150 in sklansky bucks, but i've got it in ahead 28 times as opposed to behind 29 times. Bluff shoving too much with draws etc i spose, which is why the ev hit isnt horrible although its negative. Will work on that.

Also played some limit today. Moved 600 to stars (h8 epass btw) cause the games are better and there's way more tables running. pahud is crashing my comp with stars though for some reason, which sucks a ball. But I run goot, so reads dont matter.

I'm done with limit poker.

What do i need to do to become tite at NL?

Yeah because coming from a LHE background value betting will probably be his weak point in NL..............
