allstar... Briachek may have more advice, as he lives nearby... But, I've been there a bunch, and will put my 2 cents in... BTW... I ONLY play at the Taj there, so all of my advice will reference that...

1. When you go to put your name on the waiting list, just tell the lady you don't all wanna sit together... She should help you out... I'm pretty sure the 1/2 game has a $300 max buyin, which is GREAT for a TAG player... There are always several games going on, as the room is HUGE...

2. These people generally have NO idea of pot odds or raising amounts... A $12 raise will generally get 3-4 callers... An $18-20 PF raise will usually get 1 or 2, especially if they've already limped for $2 (they think, well hell, I'm already in for $2, might as well plop in the extra $18 ) ... Just watch your table, and you'll catch on in a couple minutes...

3. Never played the tourneys...

4. If you wanna play a 1/2NL game, you should be able to find one 24 hours a day... Between the Taj, the Borgata, and the Trop (el dumpo), you shouldn't have a problem... If there's ever a lag in the play, just go get a "special massage" from all the asian parlors around... Gotta love the happy ending...

I only play at the Taj anymore and only played at the borgata when I played limit. I stick to the Taj because it has a big room so even if its crowded, you don't wait forever (like more than 3 hours on saturday night at the borgata).

1.Agree with MVP about the lists. Unless they are starting a new table, you will probably only be on a table with 3 people you know at most, probably 1 or 2. Just let them know what you want. If people do want to be together, you may obviously have to wait a while. The 1/2 game is $300 max buy in which gives you plenty of room to work.

2. A raise can be anywhere from to $7-22. Many people still call if they want to play. I usually raise it to 10-12 depending on the table. If they want to call, they will call although I actually saw a few won preflop for a normal raise even after a limper. My advice is to just keep it consistent and make it at least $10 to go.

3. Haven't played them. The taj has its tourney info on a website so you can look it all over.

4. There will always be a game going on so if you never want to sleep, you always have a game.

lower in max buy in or blinds? I don't know of one that has lower blinds. The taj and borgata has 300 max buy in as far as i know, Not sure of any other games.
