Certainly his hand looks like 99/TT.

He never has a flush but if he's good he knows you rarely have one also. If your image is pretty clean and he's not a station I think this is probably not too bad. I would play an overapair or AJ like this sometimes so this would be credible (although I don't know if you would) If you image sucks then I would just give up once called on the flop.
