I could understand a check in Hand 1 because usually that is smashing the range of the guy calling IMO, but Hand 2 is a really standard CB.

If I get raised in Hand 1 I'm mostly folding unless I have some kind of really good read, in Hand 2 I think I like a call and check the turn...I feel I am ahead and he is drawing slim most of the time.

Hand #1 I liked betting this flop as I think he has a pocket pair usually, and you're not getting CRed here all that much so you can take the free card if you're called. This is different from the JT7ss flop because I think he's continuing here much less often and it's not like we have a very solid draw we hate to get CRed out of (also you get CRed here less). That said I don't hate a check here or anything, I just personally would rather bet but I could very well be wrong.

My bad on hand #2, I thought he had you covered. I'll try to pay more close attention to stacks next time. Given that, it looks like a pretty standard bet/get it in (assuming you cb $5ish and he raises to $15 or whatever) with those stacks, I was just trying to stress the point that when you're betting flops like that you should know ahead of time what you're going to do with a raise as it happens somewhat frequently.

So yeah I know I already told you this stuff just trying to get some discussion going.

The second hand? I'm not always folding to a raise. Just saying I dont consider it an automatic get it in.

Anyway, I pretty much always bet it even against a guy i fold to if raised. I think you miss far too much value checking behind. It sucks to not see a showdown with a nice hand like TPTK, but it sucks more to play it passive and the guy shows AJ.

I probably CB them both, I am actually more likely to check hand 2 than hand 1 though.
