Last Friday afternoon, I deposited my entire bankroll back into Pacific, back to where I started this journey like a year ago. The entire bankroll was $1808. Not much to show for my efforts but having dropped around $850 at the start of the month it's hardly surprising.
I played 3 sessions over the course of the weekend, approx 3k hands and won 11 buy ins at $50NL. Welcome home.
Obv now I have Sebbed myself and will never run that hot ever again.
Some of the highlights included;
AQ vs KJ of diamonds vs KQ on a
and we get it all in 3 way on the turn. Ship an ace for a 320bb pot.
Flop the nut straight vs a set and hold for 400bbs.
Turn the nut straight vs a lower straight for 200bbs.
I didn't have it all my own way.
KK on a K626 board, all in on the turn, river an ace, oppo has AA, gg.
79 soooted vs Q9o in a BOB on a 9829 flop and turn, we all know how that ends.
So more good than bad, a lot more good than bad but it's about fucking time.
So with RB this month, I've gone from being stuck $850 to up $100, which I'm obv very happy about.
BR is $2350, with $300 in RB to come so I've started adding one table of $100NL to my sessions. I predict if I continue to run well (v v v v v unlikely) then I'll be a full time $100NL again. Please god, can this be the time I step up to the $100's and stay there? Plz?
Annoyingly, I can't seem to get Handgrabber to work properly, even though it used to. I've even downloaded the latest version but no dice. So currently I've no way of tracking my results. To be honest, I couldn't care less. I know how I play so no big deal there. Pacific is absolutely littered with loose passive players, just fucking horrible players so no real need for a HUD.
I'm just concentrating on winning money, getting my money in good (and sometimes bad but still winning) and fuck stats, 'cos right now, I really don't need 'em.
I've started becoming a bit more passive, calling with draws rather than raising 'em, calling with s/c's in LP after 3 limpers instead of raising the shit out of 'em, and limping with PP's generally rather than raising 'em.
Basically I've quickly adjusted to the serious lack of fold equity at Pacific and am just sitting back, waiting for the big hands, and getting paid.
Long may it continue.
But obv now it will turn to shit.
