Results of drunken poker:

Apparently an ipod blasting 80's/90's rock and the endorsement of your cat does give you poker immunity at 2:30 AM.

At least I was smart enough to drop down to $25NL knowing that I was impaired, but I made up for that by jacking it up to 4 tables instead of the usual 3.

Ended up picking up a stack over 300 hands in an hour. Fun riling up the fishies by typing in stuff like "I caught the fishy".

Could have been even better but I I c/r shoved the turn with A9s on a J-hi rag board and got called by AQ-hi. My drunkeness < their stupidity.

Watched Almost Famous tonight. That movie always puts me in a great mood.

Damn, tomorrow I'm going to be sober again.

Seems that I play slightly more nitty when drunk. Not by looking at that A9s hand - which makes it even more amazing that I got called though - but over the 300 hands I played drunk at 2:30AM last night, I ran 22/13/1.65.

Played just 18 minutes of PLO today. Picked up 1.5 stacks, but just didn't feel into it so I quit and happily took the profit.

Dropped 1/2 stack with K-hi flush vs A-hi flush in a HU pot.

Here, I was really playing it more cautious on the turn than slowplaying. That looked like one of the safest possible river cards though and I really thought I was ahead, hence the river raise.

Days like today are the reason why MTT players are the most miserable people on the planet. I've never had such a disgusting break even day. I ran every big hand I had into a bigger hand or got it in as a tremendous favorite and got 5 outted or less on the river.

I feel like I got the crap kicked out of me even though I finished up $25 on the day. I just withdrew from Full Tilt for the Stars reload bonus, so I expected them to hand it to me. No surprise there.

Stars gave me a few nice kicks in the ass too, but at least they let me win some (when you get it in with JJ up against worse several times, you're still supposed to win 20% of those). Also won $215 in T$ in a $39 LO8 MTT to save the day.

Full Tilt $9.5K KO
Folded to BTN short stack who shoves 10BB (60/120 blinds). Big stacked SB calls. I re-shove AJo for 22BB. I'm against TT and AA. So much for having a wide range there.

FTOPS PLO KO SS
Lasted 13 hands. C/r'ed all-in with OESD+FD. Got cold-called by NFD and also by top set. Turned a double flush draw, rivered the wrong flush though. I check-raised specifically to knock out the player who had nothing, but the naked flush draw.

Stars $100K
Not only did I get KK cracked, but I got a lecture from the guy who played his hand terribly preflop and flopped a set then questioned why I would get my short stack in after an Ace flopped.

http://weaktight.com/160266

Here's an explanation why I played that hand perfectly, for anyone who cares. Actually, I might have made a mistake by not shoving preflop because BB was a clown and might have called with about 50% of his hands.

But on this flop with KK, an Ace hits. There's 1400 in the pot and I have 1235 left. I'm not going to move anyone off an Ace and I'm no longer afraid of over-cards so the right move is to check so I might still be able to get money out of someone with a worse hand than KK or catch a bluff.

Turn card doesn't complete any draws. MP3 makes what could be considered a stab at it and I know that BB would have definitely bet the turn if he had an Ace so with less than a pot sized bet left, there is NO WAY I'm folding here.........even though the clown who open-limped 88 in the hijack then just called a raise vs a shortish stack called me stupid for continuing with an Ace on the flop as I left. We're all genius's when we misplay our hands and flop sets, huh?

I lasted 23 hands and actually won my only JJ+ hand of the day. I raised JJ and picked it up with a c-bet.

FTOPS PLHE Sat
Picked up my first pair of Aces on the day. AA < QQ. All-in preflop, Q on the turn.
http://weaktight.com/160267

$20K LO8 Sat on Stars
Down to 385 with 200/400 blinds and then 2,400 with 400/800 blinds, but chip and a chair, thank GOD Omaha and Omaha 8 tournament players absolutely SUCK! Ship the $215 T$ and some sanity.

This was the last of the day MTT's. Almost decided to skip the night ones, but at the last minute I registered for the 8pm's and took my 0 for 6 in DISGUSTING fashion.

Stars $25K
Last Stars MTT of the night.
- So I after 38 hands and 45 minutes into the tourney, I finally raise FOR THE 1ST TIME. Clown in the BB thinks I folded for almost an hour just to steal his blinds from middle position with crap. He defends with 98o. He catches a 9 on the flop, but I check it down, and catch a straight on the river with my 88. Split the pot.

- 2nd raise of the tournament about an hour in. JJ runs into QQ. Sick, SICK hand, but after he catches a set on the turn, I river a flush.
http://weaktight.com/160268

- AQ < AK all-in preflop then open shove 99 MP, get re-shove from BTN, re-re-shove from SB. 99 > 77, but < JJ

Full Tilt $32K
I had been waiting to trap UTG here as he had previously limped and called a raise with Q8 off-suit and then called a c-bet with Q-hi when he missed. Hit an 8 on the turn, bet into me, I folded 55, and he flashed the cards to show how stupid he was. He then called another raise with Q4 so why would I shove AK for 23BB when he open limps?
1 - Because I knew he would call.
2 - Because I knew I would run into AA behind me.
Not that it would have worked out any different if I just raised normally. Case A on the turn too just for insult.

http://weaktight.com/160269

Daily Double A Full Tilt
Lasted 20 hands. BTN open-raises, I 3-bet JJ and lick my chops again when he shoves. JJ < KK. Some pattern developing here.

Daily Double B Full Tilt
I actually took down 2 pots - 1 preflop and 1 on the flop with AK and KK.

Then this sickness. I get him to c/r me all-in on the turn with 2 outs.
[9h][8h] < [9s][7s] on [6d][3h][9s][Jh] board. They just can NOT give up a pair and tonight it killed me.
http://weaktight.com/160270

Full Tilt $28K
Lasted 15 hands.
- Raise QQ 5.5x BB, get 2 callers. Ace on the flop, I'm done when someone bets pot.
- Very next hand KK < AQ on Q-hi flop. I c/r him all-in on the turn. Q on the river.
http://weaktight.com/160271

$4K PLO Full Tilt
BUBBLE after 2.5 hours.
- Ran AAxx hands into coin-flips with 4 broadway card hands in 2 preflop all-ins. Lost both.
- Flopped top 2 pair with QJxx from BB. Run it into a set of Jacks and hit a Q on the river.
- However, shoved KKxx with the short-stack right into AAxx, K on the flop.
Results: Get it in ahead - LOSE. Get it in way behind - WIN.
- Also got called a moron for open-raising KQT6ds in CO by a guy who flush over flushed me and won the minimum. Said I deserved it for raising that crap. Deserved what, his preflop call with A23Q? - not a hi/lo game!
http://weaktight.com/160272
He later called several other people idiots for calling when he raised AAxx hands preflop.

HERO CALL OF THE DAY:
History - With AA97ss I open-min-raise because there is a short stack on the BTN who just lost a big pot on a suckout and I thought he might shove light and allow me to re-open the betting. Unfortunately he folded and an aggressive, decent player in the BB called my c-bet on a 673 monotone board. He check/called a 1/2 pot Tn bet when a Jack hit. I was really just trying to get a cheap/free showdown. Then he led for a little over 1/2 pot when the backdoor flush hit (Q) on the river. I REALLY thought hard about calling him, but folded. Still think there was a good chance he was bluffing.

Few hands later - QJJ9 an 8T5K mono board. I have no problem getting in with him flop or turn. But this time he tries a bigger river bet. I call pretty quickly with a pair of Jacks.

Reasoning: After the last hand against him, and after I'd seen him be pretty aggressive afterall, I was pretty confident that he was able to bluff a missed river draw if he thought his opponent could fold.
- If he had a set or top 2 on the flop he would have probably tried to get it in then. He was a decent player, which meant not much of a slowplayer.
- He wouldn't have bet a King here.
- There is only 1 straight on the board by the river and I knew he was just as likely to bluff that semi-scary river as actually have the straight. I also thought that if he had a big straight draw/wrap, he might have also been more aggressive unless it was just a naked 76.

Two sessions tonight:
Just over 1.5 hours of 2/4 HORSE and a little under 45 minutes of 2/4 LO8 6-max. Wanted the 2nd session to go a little longer, but the games dried up, selection was limited, and I didn't want to force it.

I think I went the longest I have ever gone consecutively on multiple tables without folding a hand in the HORSE session. It might have been about a 60 or 70 hand stretch on both tables combined. At least one entire 40 hand HORSE orbit on one table. I was super card dead and all the pots were being contested multi-way. I picked up AJs finally in LHE and it was raised, called, and 3-bet by the first 3 players to act. Then in the LO8 portion I finally raised A23x on the BTN vs a weak limper. My opponent - T642 - couldn't fold a 848 flop, hit another 4, no low. Ended up dropping 8BB ($32) in all.

I think I may have played one of the best LO8 sessions of my life in the late session. I didn't allow myself to get caught up chasing 1/2 the pot in spots that I usually would. I didn't try to force it if I knew I wasn't getting my opponent to fold. They weren't paying attention for the most part and still paid off when I did bet for the most part anyway.

I only wish there were more games. Considered jumping into the 3/6 game, but didn't. Just a small profit though of 5BB ($19.50).

Got in 833 hands at NL$50 6-max. Finished +1 stack. A good day, could have been much better though. I flopped 2 pair several times and was counterfeited on either the turn or the river at least 3 or 4 times. The most painful being the following, turn sucked, river sucked even harder.

$0.25/$0.5 No Limit Holdem
6 players
Converted at

Stacks:
UTG ($27.40)
UTG+1 ($56.35)
CO ($53.00)
Hero ($49.25)
SB ($52.00)
BB ($44.20)

Pre-flop: ($0.75, 6 players) Hero is BTN [Td][Ad]
3 folds, Hero raises to $1.75 ($47.50), 1 fold, BB calls $1.25 ($42.45)
ImageImage 69.20% (EV = $0.84)
ImageImage 30.80% (EV = -$0.59)

Flop: [6c][Ah][Th] ($3.75, 2 players)
BB checks ($42.45), Hero bets $3 ($44.50), BB raises to $6 ($36.45), Hero goes all-in $47.5 ($0.00), BB goes all-in $36.45 ($0.00)
ImageImage 19.90% (EV = -$24.81)
ImageImage 80.10% (EV = $27.55)

Turn: [Js] ($88.65, 2 players)
ImageImage 22.70% (EV = $20.12)
ImageImage 77.30% (EV = $72.43)

River: [Jh] ($88.65, 2 players)
Hero says "nh" ($0.00)
ImageImage 100.00% (EV = $88.65)
ImageImage 0.00% (EV = $0.00)

Final Pot: $88.65
BB shows: [Kh][Ac]
Hero shows: [Td][Ad]

BB wins $85.65 ( won +$41.45 )
Hero wins $5.05 ( lost -$44.2 )

Also beginning to think that I'm the only one that 3-bets lightly because I'm getting smoked post-flop just about every time I do it, mostly with position.

Speaking of 3-bets, I also dropped a stack shoving in with JJ preflop. I opened in CO, got 3-bet for the 2nd time by BTN, and I 4-bet. He thought for a while and shoved QQ. I also seem to be the only person willing to stack off with less than QQ (meaning JJ, AK) preflop as well. I must be watching too many higher stakes videos and out-thinking myself occasionally.

My terrible set run which started last November in FR has carried over to 6-max. In 4K hands so far, 11 out of 140.

Today 1 out of 36 and that was Aces where I had the best hand anyway.

Biggest hand of the day: Guy called me a moron afterwards, but he's the one who min-re-raised KK preflop.

BTN lost -$55.15

I popped his shoving range into pokerstove afterward (AA-QQ, AQ, KQ) and I still ran about 42% against it, and that's not even counting hands like AK and JJ that he folds, so I'm pretty much always felting the nut draw w/ the Ace there.

I just got SMOKED by the fishies at NL$50 6-max. Dropped 4 stacks on one table in particular. 2 of them on back to back hands to the same player.

This is gonna be my first real old fashion bitch rant in a while.

Such a sick session. Cut the final defecit down to $67.75 after a 3-barrel bluff vs a tight player and turning a set of 8's on a 2348 board where my opponent picked the wrong turn to raise. Unfortunately, he didn't have enough to call - or maybe fortunately considering.

What sucks is that I had just pulled even for the month yesterday. Yet I still continue to play NLHE, gotta be my worst game. Someone please teach me not only how to flop sets, but also how to win with them.

I keep saying that I suck at NLHE yet I keep trying to play it.

Last night, I played one long session (2.5 hours is long for me) of NL$50 6-max. Finished up 2 stacks due to a maniac at my table who I actually was able to get all-in with preflop with AA vs his 95o and hold. Although the KQJ flop scared me a little before I saw his cards.

Was also in another situation with him where I raised TT and folded to his re-raise when we both had a bit over 200BB on the table. I actually think it may have been the right decision because it was 1 of only 2x he re-raised in over 200 hands.

But everything I made yesterday was donated right back in my 3rd NL$100 Full Ring session - all 3 losers. It seems that every time I decided to become aggressive it was the worst possible time and everytime I had a strong hand, it was 2nd best.

A lot of people were playing overpairs as bluff catchers post-flop causing me to make what I thought were marginal value bets on the river with 2nd best hands.
Ex: 18/9 opens to $3 from MP1 and I call right behind [9s][9d]. (We both have just over $100) SB calls too.
[3c][5d][3h] Pot $10
SB check - MP1 bets $6 - I call - SB folds
[Jc] Pot $22
MP1 checks - I check
[5h] Pot $22
MP1 checks - I figure I can get a call by A-hi hands, 66-88 also so I bet $14. Snap call by MP1......[Qc][Qh]

Weak 3-bets
I'm playing 17/9 at this table over close to 100 hands. I have NOT 3-bet once.
Another TAG - 18/10 opens to $3 from MP1
I re-raise [Kc][Qc] to $11 from CO
And naturally, like everytime I re-raise light, one of the blinds wakes up with a monster and re-raises to $22 on a 1/2 stack and I have to fold. Works every time.

JJ
JJ in CO
Slightly loose 40BB stack raises UTG to $3. If he had raised from any other position, I would have re-raised and insta-called a shove, but I decided to just call here. I plan on shoving over any decent flop.
Brand new full stack player from SB re-raises to $12 - UTG calls - I call
[6c][Tc][3h] Pot $37
SB bets $20 - UTG folds - I just call (I have a club if it matters.
[Qs] Pot $77
SB bets $20 again - I think a long time and fold knowing that a call is basically a shove here. I did consider shoving, but as it turned out, SB went on to be a rock so I think I made the right fold and was lucky not to have re-raised preflop.

Stupid bluffs
Same table as last hand, same orbit. I'm BB with [Kd][Qd]
Full stack UTG posts - right away tells me he's a bad player which makes this move even stupider.
Folded around and I raise to $5. UTG calls
[7h][Ac][2c] Pot $10.50
I bet $7 and get called
[5c] Pot $24.50
I double barrel the flush card $16 and get called
[Kh] Pot $56.50
I check and he bets $22 - I have him on a weak Ace that I stupidly think I can move him off of and c/r all-in. Insta-call from the nuts. Reward for calling preflop with [Kc][7c].

Recap: I've made 2 c/r all-in bluffs this week and both times ran into a fish with the nuts.
(Yesterday it was against a 70/15 where I turned a flush+str8 draw. He just had QQ for Queens full)

Lucky TIlt
So the hand right after the stupid bluff I pick up AA but only have $31.50 - which actually helped me.
UTG limp, CO poster, I raise to $7, UTG shoves with AQ. I hold up.

2 hands later - same table AA again. It's my 4th PFR in a row and probably looks very much like tilt. I get a weak preflop call, but can't take it past a K55 flop.

JJ again
Different table - almost exact same situation.
LAG (29/21) raises UTG+1 to $4 - I just call again. We both have full stacks.
[4d][6d][2s] Pot $9.50
He bets $5 - I just call
[As] Pot $19.50
Shitty card - but he just bets $4 - I call again
[3h] Pot $27.50
He checks and I actually think I'm ahead and consider value betting marginally again. I expect to get called by a lot of pp's thinking I'm betting a missed draw.
Instead I just check and turns out I lost the minimum again with the way I played it.
Another QQ.

Played 3 MTT's this afternoon, all starting at 2:30pm on Stars. The Silver VIP $20K freeroll, a $23.50 Sunday WU Sat, and a $39 Sunday Mil Sat. Won the Sunday WU, whiffed on the other 2 for a $152.50 T$ profit.

The Stars RNG had me nervous several times though. Never without the drama. 4x in the first 25 minutes of play I picked up KK or AA and several times someone went nuts preflop with a marginal hand and each time, by the turn they had at least a flush draw.

1 - Short stack limps for $20. I raise to $90 [Ks][Kd], folded around and he shoves for 130 total. Turns over [4c][2c] - 80% to win
[6s][7s][8c] straight draw - 79%
[Ac] add a flush draw - 73%
[2d] - win!

2 - Raise to $80 (4xBB) from hijack, BTN & SB call
I raise [Ad][Ac] to $520 (2x pot)
Hijack insta-shoves [Kd][Qd] - 84%
[9c][6d][Qs] - 77%
[5d] - there's the FD again with a pair 71%
[7s] - escaped again!

3 - MP1 raises to $150 (5xBB) - I re-raise to $390 [Ah][Ad] CO.
MP1 insta-shoves $925 total - [As][Ts] - 87%
[Jd][9s][8s] hahaha - I'm now a dog to ATs with my Aces 45%
[2h] 66%
[Js] finally the flush hits

4 - UTG limps in $30, UTG+1 limps, I raise to $225 [Kc][Ks], UTG snap calls, UTG+1 folds
[Td][Tc][5d] I bet $350 ($495p) - UTG snap calls again
[6c] I bet $800 ($1195p) - UTG shoves $2590. I cover and call.
And....another flush draw [Ac][Qc]
[7d] - Enough with the drama already!

At least all 3 winners were in the same Sunday WU Sat that I won. Also was lucky enough to run AQ into QQ in a BTN vs SB confrontation and river the K for the straight on a JT9x board.

This one was pretty sweet too at the final table though.

I've always run pretty ok in coin flips. It's the hands where I'm way ahead that I normally have trouble with.

By far, the best day of the month.

Ran TPTK or better into a set in a 4-way limped pot from the BB where the SB went for the c/r both times actually slowing me down and saving me money both times in the $100 NLHE FR games. Still, I ended up having my best of the 4 sessions I've played there so far. Only lost $8.60.

Then I had probably my best HORSE session ever. 28BB at the 2/4 level. It was a combo of playing really well and running really well to. It was definitely my best session for the Stud variations. I stopped trying to bluff the unbluffable all the way down to showdown. I was able to lay down and not chase marginal hands after 4th street, especially when they might have either been 2nd best or worth only 1/2 the pot anyway. Just as importantly though, results wise too, I was aggressive at the right times and didn't get drawn out on the river very often in big pots. Not posting any hands though because I don't have PT for Stud and it's too time consuming to rummage through hand histories.

But, limited HORSE stats for the year.....
$1-2 HORSE $ 37.65 Hrs 9.3 BB/hr2.0 $/hr $ 4.07
$2-4 HORSE $ 35.50 Hrs 3.7 BB/hr2.4 $/hr $ 9.64
