Alittle background on myself. I"m 26, married, have a 3 month old daughter, and work as a Medical Laboratory Technologist. I was introduced to Texas Holdem about 4 years ago while I was in university. Several of us would play for playmoney online between classes to kill the time. The game really intrigued me, so I started playing online at home for play money. After about 4 months of that I figured I had learned enough to risk some of my own money online. I put $100 on Pokerstars, doubled it, took off my original investment, and never looked back. That first year and a half or so I played mainly $5 single table SNG's and did very well at them. However, everytime my roll hit around $300-400 I would withdraw most of it and buy myself something. I had one hobby paying for my other hobbies, pretty cool, yet I was getting a lot better at poker but didn't have the roll to be playing in the games I should be playing in. Basically I thought I had the potential to be making a lot more money if I just let my roll build a bit. About 6 months ago I made the switch to 6-max cash games starting at the $5 games with a $180 roll. I'm now playing the $25 games with a $1400 roll and hope to make the switch to $50 NLHE soon. It's been slow going for me because of fulltime work and spending time with family. Anyways I'll leave my first entry at that, have to go to work now :(

Had a session last night after work. Played for almost 2 hours 2-tabling $25 6-max. This is a normal session for me lately, I find I start losing concentration after 2 hours and playing more than 2 tables starts to affect my reads, which I'm really trying to develop right now. With 3-4 tables I find myself slipping into more of an automatic mode, which may work at this level but I don't plan on staying at $25 forever. Once I'm feeling more confident with making reads, I"ll start adding in tables again.

375 hands, $41.00
current BR = $1516.94

Some hands from the session

This first hand I attempted a bluff reraise from the BB against a 20/14 TAGG who was raising on the button. I hadn't tried this on him before and I had a tight image aswell so I figured he would be folding a lot of his range. On the flop he either has it or doesn't. Suggestions on play? Again this is normally %100 fold for me in the BB against a raise.
Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Converter Tool from (Format: FlopTurnRiver Cards)

BB ($62.50)
Hero ($36.40)
MP ($7.45)
CO ($3.30)
Button ($25)
SB ($28.80)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with Image, Image. Hero posts a blind of $0.25.
2 folds, Button raises to $0.85, 1 fold, Hero (poster) raises to $3.75, Button calls $2.65.

Flop: ($7.35) Image, Image, Image (3 players)
Hero bets $5.5, Button raises to $21.5 (All-In), Hero folds.

Final Pot: $18.35

Results in white below:
Button doesn't show.
Outcome: Button wins $34.35.

Well it seems my aggressive play paid off in another way. Only a couple hands later against same villian.

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (5 handed) Converter Tool from (Format: FlopTurnRiver Cards)

Hero ($27.30)
SB ($7.20)
BB ($3.05)
UTG ($33.80)
MP ($28.70)

Preflop: Hero is Button with Image, Image.
UTG raises to $0.85, 1 fold, Hero raises to $2.9, 1 fold, BB raises to $3.3 (All-In), UTG raises to $13, Hero raises to $30.2 (All-In), UTG calls $15.15.

Flop: ($59.70) Image, Image, Image (3 players, 2 all-in)

Turn: ($59.70) Image (3 players, 2 all-in)

River: ($59.70) Image (3 players, 2 all-in)

Final Pot: $61.75

Results in white below:
BB has 9d 9c (two pair, nines and fours).
UTG has Qh Qd (two pair, queens and fours).
Hero has Kc Kh (two pair, kings and fours).
Outcome:

And finally this hand I feel I really screwed up. Villian is 29/10 after 100 hands. I think my PFR is ok given my tight image, the flop call I"m still not sure about. He could be leading with an A, a FD, or air. What to do with this turn? As played he checked turn to me, I raised to 3 and he reraised to 9, I then folded. Suggestions welcome.

yep just let him keep running over you until you pick something up.

I really think table selection is important. Try and get the bad players on your right. If you do find these 20/14 taggish players you need to be able to steal their blinds.

3 betting and all that fancy jazz is just not worth it at this level IMO without a big hand.

I raise hand 3 because you were the preflop raiser. You should always try and stay aggressive. He could be donking into you with anything, trying to hit his draw cheaply etc. Plus with your range including a lot of A's then it looks correct.

When you raise the flop he has to become defensive. You have FE and barring that he will check the turn here a lot and you can either fire again (depending on the card) or get to a showdown cheaply. When you just call he now has the liberty to take the lead again or CR you big.

Thanks TableTiger1, very informative answers to my questions :D

Not to much to update... just finished a stretch of 6 afternoonshifts at the hospital, plus a shitload of overtime. Exhausted from work and not much time spent playing poker in the last couple days.

Did get a quick 45min session this morning 2-tabling 25NL 6-max, + $32.15
