Preflop is pretty bad I guess, villian seemed rather loose so I called (had only few hands on him though). Anyways, thoughts on flop/turn/river play?

CO doesn't show.
Outcome: CO wins $21.75.

I don't think checking the flop is bad, however I think I would have check raised the flop being that you didn't 3 bet pre flop.

Being that you didn't CR, I am definately betting the turn when the club doesn't show and the 7 does. He could easily have a hand like KQ JQ AQ in the CO. Even if he has AA or KK, you could represent trip 7's on the turn being that you called the flop bet and possibly get to a showdown.

If he has a hand like KQ JQ or even AQ suited or not, I think he is going to have a hard time continuing a decent turn bet unless has a boat.

If he does continue, I'm checking folding the river.

I don't mind the call preflop at all, it's certainly not bad or anything, I mix up calling and 3 betting with AQ and sometimes AK myself. And sometimes Aces and sometimes 87s.

DH, I'd like to hear your thought's on why it's so open and shut as to a 3 bet or fold with this hand? No-one has ever explained to me why this should be the case, and to be honest, even if they did I doubt I'd agree with them.

I think two good reasons not only to call are the two players behind you that now have better odds to call the raise. You absolutely don't want to play AQ OOP against 3 pl. In addition a reraise evens out your positional disadvantage against CO.
And the last thing is that you have a good chance to take it down right here because the CO could be trying to simply take the dead money in the pot.
