It seems that the main reason they are doing this is so ESPN can broadcast it right after it happens. Thats a great idea, but couldn't they move the broadcast up a little bit? Four months seems excessive. The first event is in June, can't they air that in July? The final table starts in July, can't they air that in August and have the final table be Aug 11 instead of November? that would make it better for me.

Also, I like Doyle's idea of having an alternate. What if you're in the hospital or something and can't make it? You're just fucked because you happened to get hit by a car the day before you were supposed to go bak to Vegas?

They wouldn't move up the broadcast because TV viewership is too light in the summer, would hurt ratings. Besides, it would be too late to make that change for this year anyway.

If someone is truly an awful player, I don't think all the coaching in the world will help them. They managed to get this far being awful so they're not going to think they're awful.

Here's what I'd do in the 4 months though if it were me:

- hire a VERY top-value coach, cut him in on my winnings. Promise 10% and you can get Doyle to do it if you want.

- get a sponsorship, and not some crappy Stars or Full Tilt thing. I'm talking Nike or Pepsi or someone that will pay top dollar.
