Crappy NL$100 session tonight. Couldn't get anything to work. Think the highlight of the night was when I raised with KJo, the flop came down A-hi and I got a fold on the flop. Other than that, everything sucked.

Really frustrating part was that I had perfect position on the 2 players I absolutely wanted it on at 2 separate tables and couldn't do anything with it. Thought I was gonna get him twice.
1 - CO raise - I re-raise BTN w/ QQ. Rock in BB repops it to $25.
2 - He raises, I call with QJs. J-hi monotone flop. I call again. J on the turn, he check-calls. Board double pairs on the river and we split it. QJs = J7s

So I blew off the $150 I won this afternoon + another $100 to absolute idiots. I don't think I should play anymore on Saturdays....especially NLHE cash games. Also blew the $55 Sat into the $750K.

I definitely do my part to keep the poker economy going on Saturdays. I'm disgusted at myself for allowing them to run so well. For the sake of space, some short recaps....

99 < 77 on a 554 flop. I charged the station the max to hit his running straight.

[Kh][Jh] in BB in a 4-way limped flop.
[9s][7c][Td]. SB bets pot ($5), I raise to $15, SB calls.
[9c] SB checks. Pot is $35, SB has $40 left so I just put him in and he snap calls with.......[8s][8d] and holds me off.
Says.."HA! I knew you were bluffing. You must be rich to just throw away $40 that easy".....says the guy who snap calls with 88.
Aggression is a kick in the balls.

AK < A7o for a nice chunk. A7A flop. This is why we raise the fish who limps UTG and this is also why he calls the raise with A7o.

I did flop 2 sets though in 36 tries against the fish. Grand profit of 6BB's on those 2 sets. Those they fold against.

LO8 6-max - Holy shit are these players bad, I wish I ran better. I dropped about $80 in these 2/4 and 3/6 games.

#1 - Your normal 3 betting hand from the BTN here.

I have absolutely no patience or focus today. I probably shouldn't even play, but what else am I gonna do. I hope it's not too expensive.

8 MTT's - just 1 cash. Thought I had a real good shot at going really deep in the $50K on Full Tilt tonight, but JJ < AJ on an AJx flop in the first hour which would have made me the chip leader.

Then I went out in 72nd place, doubling my buyin, when I should have doubled my stack to $35K when TT < AT all-in preflop. Just 2 Aces on the flop when 1 would have been sufficient. Felt great that I only had 1 T left in the deck.

In other tournaments I also ran into and was elminated by.....
AQ into everything..... QQ and AK and KK behind me. I think I was drawing dead preflop.
AQ into AA
TT into AA
AK into AA
88 into KK

In other words.......I picked some great spots to shove today.

Shoulda been better, but I guess it coulda been worse than what I felt was coming today. -$160 or so on the day.

I HATE pocket Queens more than any other hand, with the possible exception of AK.

Cash games:
- Raised AK and got called by the 44% VP$IP'er and hit an Ace on a 2A6 rainbow flop. I bet 1/2 pot because I want him to call with nothing out there and they always seem to think I have AK anyway. Instead he raises 3x my bet so I call.

Turn is a T and he fires out a $30 bet into a $37 bet again so I call again.

River is a Q and he shoves. I fold. If he really thinks I have AK and he's still doing this, then I'm dead. The fishy got me. Besides, with the T and Q out there now, I only beat AJ.

- Another maniac on another table. I turn a straight in a 3-way pot with [8h][6h] and position on a [Kh][Ts][7c][9h] board. So now after the flop gets checked, tight player pots it from SB, the nut min-raises, and I just call even though I have the 2nd nut straight because what else could the nut possibly have the way I run in cash games?

River is a 6, counterfeiting one of my straight cards and SB leads again for 1/2p this time. The nut min-raises again and I fold. SB calls with a set of Tens...well played by the way. The nut had the nuts on the turn with QJo.

So I dropped a 1/2 stack and turned my attention to some FTOPS Sats on Full Tilt.

1 - 14 minutes in I pick up QQ on the BTN. Amazingly, SB goes nuts and overshoves and I snap call. Same exact hand, same exact suits, I ran TT into last night in the same exact situation with an LP raise against an over-aggressive blind. [Ah][Th] > TT last night and it's > QQ tonight.

2 - 2 minutes later, I pick up QQ (same suits even) in a $55 satellite. Loose MP raises, I 3-bet, BB shoves. What the hell, I'm on tilt and we only started with 1500 so I call. Thank God BB had the Aces. Finally I have the worst hand. Catch a Q and I'm back. Eventually go out with the same exact hand....QQ < AK

3 - Was the big stack, but raised Kx[Qd] in a 6-max MTT and was called by SB. Flop was [8d][9d][Td]. I fired 3x, all 2/3 pot and get called by a lone pair.....which is the nuts when there are no A's or K's present and they know it. Stupid me. Thankfully someone else did something stupid before I did again and I picked up $40.

4 - Blinds 25/50. I have 2K in BB with [Ac][9s]. SB has 800 and completes. I KNOW he has SHIT so I raise to $200. SB calls off 1/4 of his stack with the raise.
Flop is [Td][8c][6h] and SB open shoves for his last 600 just like I KNOW he is going to do on just about any flop because he's an idiot. I snap call with A-hi and the GSSD.

And that is the reason why we call off 1/4 of our stack preflop with [8h][4h]. Cause our opponent can't have anything other than 2 overcards and we're gonna flop a pair...aka the NUTS!

Tournament hot streak SOOOOOOOOOOOO officially OVER! I think I'm done with $55 satellites. The players are worse than the $10 players, but I run like shit so far this month.

All of these hands took place within 2 minute span.

I had only been card dead and not playing any hands for a while and I had a shortish stack which meant no implied odds, so why not call a raise with A4s?
(Pot size is wrong for some reason. It's only 800 on the flop and I thought I wanted a call.)

That last hand was 11:05....got knocked out of a 3rd Satellite ($55 also) at 11:07. Shoves over a limper with TT. He called with AJo and I knew it before the J even hit the flop. Amazing how that well that works.

Oh, by the way, I also cashed out a nice chunk from Full Tilt at the beginning of the month. Not that I'm planning on getting it anytime soon with their recent check payout delays, but strange how cashouts always seem to coincide with horrid runs of cards.

So the other day I made this post in the MTT forum about AK being basically face up because when an A or K doesn't hit the flop, their pair is the nuts. Which sucks when you have AK, but is great when you actually have a bigger pair. I could stack people with 99 on J-hi flops.

That's great, but now I'm getting blasted by the tards with their pairs everytime I have an overpair. I had been getting crushed with AA yesterday, crushed by QQ Monday. Tonight I was able to get crushed, and rather quickly, with both. So now, not only can I not win with AK unless I flop a pair, but QQ+ is getting run over too.

MTT #1:
AA < KTs....at least he flopped the 2 pair after only getting in 1/5th my stack preflop.

MTT #2: Beautiful. BB was just an imbecile. I knew he was beat. Then the other dummy, as soon as he hesistates I know he has AJ. In the past I might think it could be a set, but nope. A pair's the nuts now and I don't even hesitate to shove over them. I could have even lived with the K falling too because I still would have broke even for the hand, maybe even made a little.

MTT #3: AK < JJ - 1/3 my stack in preflop. Opponent pot donk/shoves on an 8 high flop.....because he knew I had AK. But I did have the flush draw with 2 overs....missed obviously.

Cash games were a rollercoaster ride in a short time span. That's actually a good thing because it been just a straight downward line the past few days. In just 193 hands...

Very first hand AA vs KK. Pick up a full stack.
+1 stack

Few minutes later, I dust off $40 with the K-hi flush vs a boat. 40BB stack just called the flop bet on a monotone flop. Gotta stack off even when the board pairs on the turn.
+2/3 stack

Flop a straight flush draw, hit the flush on the turn. Can't get paid on the river though. Tried to get it in on the flop but PFRer wouldn't bite. Did pick up $34 though.
+1 stack again

Get a 38BB stack to stack off preflop when I limp/re-raise QQ and he shoves TT
+1.5 stack

Dump off a full stack being too aggressive. Raise a limper with [As][6s] in CO and as usual I'm the one who gets punished.
Flop the flush draw + an over. [2d][3s][Qs]
I bet 2/3 pot and BB c/r's 2.5x my bet so I shove. I'm drawing dead when the board
pairs on the turn. Kinda figured he might re-raise the LP raiser with QQ, but maybe not.
+ 1/2 stack

Dump off a nice chunk vs a fishy who actually had a hand. I raise his EP limp a
large amount out of the BB and get called. I have AK.
He min-raises a 444 flop and I 3-bet. He calls.
J on the turn and I shove. He calls with TT. I had 10 outs, but miss.
Played it like an idiot and now...
-1/3 stack

Raised the same fishy out of the blinds next time with 99. This time he had 64s and
flopped 2 pair. Thankfully there was an Ace on the flop and he went to war with the other caller (AK) instead of me.
-1/2 stack

Finally, FINALLY, FINALLY I flop a set and stack a full stacked fishy for what I think was the first time this year. Well, 84BB but close enough.
1 limper, TAG CO raises to $3, I call BTN [5h][5c], BB fishy calls as does limper
[2c][Kd][5d] w/ 2 diamonds and BB fishy donks $3 into $15 pot. Limper and raiser fold, I raise to $13. Fishy snap calls.
[8c] and fishy donks $10 again into $41 pot. I raise to $50 and he snap calls again
[Qh] and fishy just shoves in his last $13.90 and turns over [Kc][Jd]
+1/2 stack

And that was just the first 135 hands. Last 58 were uneventful.

Still, 7th losing day in last 8. Taking Thursday and Saturday off. Wasn't planning on it, but may take Friday off too. Gonna be a bitch to make Goldstar this month if I do though. I'm a little disgusted right now though so it may be better for my mental state if I did. I mean I shipped it in with 93s in my last MTT tonight just to be done with it.

In my defense it was blind v blind and I flopped middle pair on a K92 flop. Really didn't think the SB would open limp a decent K so I shoved over what I thought was a stop and go. I was wrong. KJ is an open limping hand from the SB.

FUCK NLHE cash games. DONE!

FUCK sets! I have no use for them. I rarely flop them and end up losing big pots a lot when I do.

FUCK big pairs. No use for them either.

I don't know what the fuck Intellipoker is, but there have been avatars all over Stars for them lately. Apparently this is what it teaches you to do......and then lol at the idiot who's set of Aces you just cracked by shoving 88.

Moved over to 2/4 LHE 6-max tonight. I just guess running straights against my sets are the way to go tonight.

Didn't really plan on playing anything yesterday, but somehow found myself in 9 MTT's last night. 6 of them at the same time for only the 2nd time ever and 2nd time this week.

Cashed in 2 out of the 9, but still lost on the day. Played in a couple of FTOPS Super Sats for the HORSE event which was a great disappointment because the rounds/blinds were only 6 minutes and it didn't say anything about being a turbo. Still ended up bubbling 1 and going out on another with trip Jacks in a 4-way pot against a hidden boat who I had on a low draw.

Interesting, ridiculous hands....maybe even a little MTT strategy.......

BTN was in there with trash just about every hand. Anyone guess what the turn was?

So here, I was unsure of what to do postflop so I just ended up calling. Villain seemed competant. This was the $28K ($26 buyin) on Full Tilt.

Once he calls the turn I gotta figure it's either AK or KK. Maybe even AA, but almost certainly not JJ when he bets the river. Betting 1750 and leaving yourself 515 had to be a value bet. So I'm not sure about preflop, but post flop I think I played it just about as well as I could have.

Made a post about this in the Omaha forum. Deep in the $4K on Full Tilt. 20 left, 27 were paid, but no real money until the final table. I'm about 9th in chips. We actually only got our money back for 27-19th.

I mistakenly hit the raise 1/2 pot button instead of full pot on the turn, not sure how big an error it really was though. To bluff or not to bluff on the river......of course if I pot the turn there really is no river decision.

Slight history with villain. He had open-raised CO once and I 3-bet him with AJs on the BTN. He folded. And just last hand he had raised and been 3-bet by another player and folded. I took just about all of my time here. I'm pretty sure I would have called with QQ...or maybe not the way that hand's been treating me.

Nice play. You got me. Thing was, he snap shoved without even hesitating.

What a dick! Just lost a coin flip with KJ vs TT to cripple me. Open shove here for 4BB on the BTN and so happy to even be in this position. Ok, good flop. Gotta be a dick though with that comment on the river?

Played a little over 500 hands of 2/4 6-max LHE and dropped $10.

Played in 4 MTT's (3 FTOPS Super Sats and 1 regular Sat). Not only cashed, but won a seat in 3 out of the 4, taking 1st out of 16 and another $216 in T$ in the $26 HA Sat.

In the 4th Sat, I went out in the first hand with AK into AA. $255 T$ profit in all.

In the $26 Sat I was middle stack when we got down to 3 (4 paid, only 1st got a seat). The big and small stack got into a battle, which you would think I would want the big stack to win, but I was actually rooting for the short stack due to the payout structure and table dynamic. If he won, which he did, they would be even and I would be slightly chip leader. I thought I could run over the table fairly easily then, as the prior chip leader was extremely weak and the shorter stack would fight back only a little.

And that is exactly what happened. It also helped that I don't think either one of them really had a clue how to play PLO. I raised just about every hand outside the BB when we were 3 handed during the PLO session and only slowed down a little during the PLHE rounds.

The 3rd player finally got fed up with my somewhat maniacal play and shoved over me at the wrong time. My AJs > QJo.

I got HU play with the player I wanted and got super coolered just the 2nd hand. Nuts vs 2nd nuts.....

Even though this gave him the 2-1 chip advantage, I decided I just didn't give a shit because he was so weak, I was still gonna run him over. So I raised the next 2 hands and took the blinds then got re-raised on the 3rd hand and got lucky when I called with K9.

The flop came Q9x and I shoved over his pot bet giving him better than 4-1 odds to call....which he did with AK-hi.

I now had a 3.5-1 chip lead and that was the last PLHE hand. PLO....he was a dead man.

I took 6 of the first 8 hands uncontested. Lost 2, took 4 more blinds, lost 3, then took the next 10 preflop!!!

Then the dummy tried to slowplay AAxx and even though he had me suit dominated, he was only a 58% preflop favorite. I just love slowplayers in PLO. I had a favorable flop, we got it in as 52% fav, and he was drawing to 4 outs after the turn. Game over!

6-max LHE is definitely.....uhm......WOW sometimes....

Getting 3 streets of value out of someone drawing dead on the flop is pretty awesome.

It was actually 1 maniacal player who ruined my session. And there's a pretty funny story/conversation about him afterward.

He had been playing pretty crazy raising and 3-betting a ton, running something like 44/16, hitting the deck pretty hard and thinking he was really good too.

I got into a hand against him where I opened on the BTN [Td][8d] and he 3-bet from SB.
Flop came down [7c][2d][9c] and the flop ended up getting capped. He had been playing so aggressively that I thought even a pair, if I caught it, was good here.
I was right, but I missed. He had [6s][6d]. So keep in mind that he's capping the flop with this hand.

Very next hand, I've got him. Or so you would think....and then the inevitable happened. Somehow I knew he had the set too, but I thought I was being paranoid and followed up with my river c/r. I can't believe he just called.

And this hand was just WOW! Glad I got off cheaply on the flop. 3rd best out of 4 on the flop. Naturally the 4th best hand wins.
