I didnt read the posted story but they have admitted to "cheating" in the 2002 AFC Championship game vs the Steelers. We also all heard the rumors that they did it in the SuperBowl as well and they won as a 14 point dog in that game.
If it wasnt helping them, they wouldnt have continued to do it.
Its important enough for a Senator to get involved because the NFL has a government issued anti-trust exemption. If they are allowing any form of cheating, Congress could very well void that exemption and then the NFL is in big trouble.
