FR game at Cake.

Hero is in MP with KK and raises to 3x the big blind first in. Gets 1 caller OTB. No reads. Both of us have about 120 BBs to start the hand.

Pot is 7.5 BBs and the flop is [6c][4h]. Hero bets 6 BBs, one fold, Villain minimum raises, Hero "clicks it back", Villain thinks a while and calls.

Pot is 43.5 BBs. . Hero checks, Villain bets 30 BBs, Hero calls.

Pot is 103.5 BBs. . Hero checks, Villain is all-in for 70 BBs, Hero thinks for a while and decides to make the call.

What's your opinion of this play at ...

$25 NL?
$100 NL?
$400 NL?

On Cake $200NL 6 Max, I find the flop min raise to be much weaker in general (TPWK, Draw, etc) than the turn min raise which is generally a monster. I would 3bet the flop and commit myself. Like UA said, make the flop 3bet larger.

Are we being site specific too or just stakes specific?

Anyway, the higher the stakes, the more I like the stack off. The lower the stakes, the less most of them have the guts to stack off on a bluff. Not that I'm not sure they aren't sticking it in with a set on the flop at most levels though so it looks more like a draw and only 1 of them got there.

Villain has position and shoves the river after you check. Is he shoving A9 here? TT/JJ? This just looks like he's either bluffing or has a big hand. Does the flop/turn look like he's bluffing? Only hands we caught up with are flopped 2-pair and that doesn't look very likely at all. I fold but then I just play $25 (and maybe this is a reason why).

This was $100 NL at Cake. I was the villain in this hand, and I had zippo. I thought I had a read that this guy only raised smallish preflop with low to medium pairs, so I had him on 99 or less, and therefore either a set, which didn't fit his betting pattern, or else something that couldn't possibly call down. I also had him as a semi-thinking player, better than most at this level at Cake, not a calling station. And I was right in a way: he took all of his time to call my river shove.

If I had had any clue he had KK I wouldn't have tried it.

Meh. Just another example of why there's no need to bluff at the $100s.
