Okay.... So I knew this would happen eventually, but just not as quickly as it actually did... I used to go on a bunch of stupid gambling boats (poker's illegal in FL... don't get me started) where I would generally make out pretty good (+-$350 a night in a 1/2 game)... Problem is, and anyone who has taken these stupid cruiseships can understand, they're just a serious pain in the ass... The main boat is about an hour away, you gotta get there an hour early, the food blows goats, and ya get in 4-5 hours of poker if you're lucky... The main advantage is that it's almost always a couple regulars and a bunch of uber-fishy tourists that got tired of playing Blackjack, and decide to go upstairs to give me their money...
So, I decide to start playing these underground homegames that seem to be popping up EVERYWHERE.... And, I'm smokin along pretty good, as most of the players are crap... BUT, this is my 4th week, and I've started losing my action... A couple days ago, for example, at a 2/5 game, I only showed down 3 hands all night... 3 boats... and won a buttload of money.... then , yesterday, a lot of the fishier players were gone, and EVERY TIME I bet, I couldn't get anyone to play w/ me if I payed em to...
Under NORMAL circumstances, I know I'm supposed to loosen up... Raise more... Get caught bluffing once or twice... BUT, the thing thats throwing me is that at every 10 man table, there are 5-6 just total bozo idiots... COMPLETE CALLING STATIONS that will call down allin chasing flushes, will call $30 PF raises w/ Q7, and will basically call off most of their chips if they hit ANY part of a flop (even bottom pair)... They cannot be chased off a hand normally... Plus, they are uberagressive (RAISING $30 PF w/ Q7s...), and will sense weak continuation bets as just that, and will raise HUGE...
I'm not sure how much I can loosen up, as the better players will fold, but ALL of the calling stations will still play w/ me... And, they're likely to call my continuation bet if they even have the slightest hint of a piece of the flop...
Rereading this, I'm not sure if any of it made too much sense.... But, if you can struggle your way through it... Any help would be appreciated... [/img]
