Well everyone else seems to be keeping a journal here at Bet The Pot so I may as well Join the wagon. A little background first. I began playing poker online about 4 months ago. My initial stake was about $40 on Pacific Poker. I played the small Sit n Gos they offer and .05/.10 Limit ring games. I could slowly build it up and then id get smart and go somewhere that I now know my bankroll couldnt handle and lose it. Eventually i had enough of a roll to cash out and put in the Min. Deposit at Paradise. Again i played the Micro limit tables and No limit tables. I began playing MTTs and got OK at them making a couple final Tables and built that $50 into $250 or so. Well then the rollercoaster began. The wife and kids went out of town for a week . I quickly decided that once again it was time to try for some big wins. I went to the $100 NL ring games . Two days and 4 or 5 real pots and my BR. was $700. You know where this is going, right! If you can do it once you can do it again. A coupl of bluffs that werent and a couple flushes that werent enough and im back to $200. . Then I find BTP. Time to get it right.

I got Small stakes Hold'em, Phil Helmuths Book, And a couple more. I got to reading this forum and am coming along nicely, slowly albeit. My current BR is $286.26 to the cent. I play at Paradise and UB primarily but have played atThe gaming club, Party poker, Poker champs and pacific.
The Goals Of This Conquest:
1) Build a bankroll of $1000
2) Learn the game to be proficient enough to take that $1000 to the next level
3) Learn to read Players to any extent. (I am totaly incompetent at this now)

My idea of how to accomplish these goals is pretty simple, play within my limits. I like to play shorthanded limit and NL and Full ring NL but i guess i should choose. perhaps Full ring NL. I will be posting plenty of hands for you guys to destroy me on. I will be doing plenty of pushups as i need to keep in shape too. I have some questions before i begin,
1) Should i put more money in a single site or keep it disbursed?
2) Should i move money if i can get the bonuses to help?( I have no intention using bonuses to build to $1000 i will be using solid play bonuses extra)
3) Would sit n gos be a profitable way to help? ( I am currently 10 W/ 10L at paradise poker $5 and $10)
4) What sites do you recomend I think ive heard that UB is a tougher place than most to accomplish this Paradise as well.
5) I have $50 in Neteller should i put this in Party? That is not enough money to really be able to play most of their ring games?
Iknow im not as colorful as most but it is my plan and im sure this will help me accomplish it. Thanks for reading this boring ass piece and any help would be appreciated. Here we go

I posted 4 hands in the Nl section for analysis. Still a long way to go but any positive start is good!!

Well the first downturn on the first day. Lost a couple buyins against monkey garbage hands. 1 set got outdrawn and a couple of straights got outdrawn buy houses. I guess thats how it goes sometimes. Made a few playing errors as well to compound it. Tomorows another day i guess.
