Today has been another good day. I made a little over $100 in two and a half hours of play. I even lost a buy in when I flopped top set on an all club board. Oh well, I made it all back about three hands later when I flopped a str8 to someones flopped set. Today the biggest hand I messed up on I still won but I think I could have made way more on it.

Here is the bad hand of the day.

I just know that I could have made more on it.

Here is the best hand of the day. You just have to love those mini raisers.

That's the good and the bad. Some of my other big winners on the day were people that hit top pair with a weak kicker. One I had two pair and the other I flopped a set. I stacked both of them but both only had around $25.

Im going to start setting goals to play at least four hours a day, seven days a week. I have been playing very well and I know that if I can start putting in the hours I will start making good money.

I wont be making good money tonight because tonight is a drinking night. If you care to find me I will be playing some 1 cent 2 cent NL on stars.

I made the drunkest multi table move of my life last night. I had the nut flush on one table and folded while pushing all in on another table with second pair on a one card straight board. I was up over two hundred dollars then went into tilt mode. I made enough in a couple sngs that I was still up on the night though. I thought that I had pushed all in with the flush but I was sadly mistaken and when I saw what I had done I almost threw up the 15 or so beers I had consumed.

Here is the hand. Let me have it. I feel like crying.

You should post that hand where you had TPTK. That's another one worth puking.

I have been playing 50nl like I said I would be and I am doing pretty damn well. It started off pretty rocky and I was down about thirty dollars in my first two hour session of the day. I got a special reload offer from Party and I decided to get started on there bonus. I was playing some damn good poker and was back to even when I got a nice monster of a pot that I will post, but first I will post the hand that I knew I should have folded. For your average player this may not seem like an obvious fold, but from bet the pot and experience I knew this was a losing hand and that I was making a crying call.

The bad. Even as I called it I knew it was going the other way.

And the good. I was almost scared that somone had a set of nines but after getting set over setted last night there was no way I was folding.

If you are wondering why I didn't push all in on the flop it was because I couldn't. It is one of the rules on Party and their skins; the short stacks raise was not a legitimate raise so the betting is stopped and I was only allowed to call. I'm sure it has happened to others but if it hasn't that is why I didn't push.

And thats it on the day. I cleared 227 hands of the Party bonus in an hour and a half and I am up a good amout of money. I plan on finishing the bonus tonight or early in the morning. With the Empire bonus and the soon to come Party monthly bonus I will be back where I started before my bad streak, and I will be playing the 100nl again.

mp1 made one of the most horrible calls i've ever seen. What has to happen in that hand for him to drop QQ. there is a bet and raise on a board that has an overcard. buddy list him.

It's late and I'm done for the day. Well, except for the SnG I'm about to play in. Anyway, I played over 1700 hands today and made $118 in ring games and $100 in the Party Bonus. So, out of the $300 I lost the past two days I have almost made it back. I really would like to move up to $100 because I have been tearing the $50 games up.

There were some irritating hands tonight like the one where the guy wouldn't fold his KK with an ace on the board. I will probably post some of the hands tomorrow.

Besides playing in a shootout right now (now in level 2)I played a couple hours of $50nl. At first I started on prima. I was down nearly $30, not because of bad play, but bad cards and missed flops. I switched over to Party where I have access to gametime and finished up my evening session.

The whole night I played a very controlled tight agressive game. I was taking down pots when I needed and folded when appropriate. Everything was going pretty well until my last orbit when I made a very stupid mistake.

Granted the guy was a big preflop raiser, but I shouldn't have done this. I expected him to reraise me preflop with a big hand, but he tricked me. It was my fault going in with TPTK. I haven't done it in a while, but I was feeling a little over confident.

Before poker tracker had the time to update I had this next hand.

This was the first time I have ever stacked someone with quads. My brother and I were sitting here saying, "please let that rivered Ace give him the nut full house...please god." After he raised me on the river I asked him if he had AA. After no answer I reraised all in and he called instantly. I was so happy that I finally stacked someone with quads. I am no longer a virgin. I was so happy that I dumped my girlf friend and proposed to the CPU screen. I'm awaiting an answer.

Overall I am up $30 in ring games and including the shootout it's over $40. It's not great, but I'm climbing back....

UPDATE
I went back for some more Prima because I coudln't stand for losing against the weak play over there. I came back and won another $50, but also lost around about $10 on Party. That makes the grand total for ring games over $70. In the shootout I made it to the 3rd round but got knocked out by a terrible big stack catching cards like you wouldn't believe.

Either way it makes the daily total over $90. That means that I have won back what I lost in $100 NL. I've decided to set a concrete goal of 3k in my bankroll before I go back to $100nl. I can't wait because I am easily beating the $50nl game. If it wasn't for cashouts I would be well over 3k by now, but we can't change the past.

I don't have an accurate bb/100 since the beginning of August since I can't get the SQL thingy working for Prima. Someone should walk me through it in lay terms... On Party the past month I held 14.44 BB/100 (real), including Prima it should be closer to 20. I am pretty sure this qualifies me for the move up. I seriously think I'm ready, but as I said I will wait.

Lastly, and this is for Trodgers, thanks for the words of wisdom. I did feel like a failure on the move up, but I realize some of the worst hands were out of my control. But I have gained my confidence back, so I am optomistic.

The 3 day weekend is finally drawing to an end. My friend Michael decided on a last minute trip out to my place for the weekend. He showed up late Saturday night and stayed until just a few hours ago. He was in much better spirits this weekend and thanked my brother and I for helping him deal with his shambled relationship. In fact he was in such good spirits he brought a lot of cash and couldn't spend it fast enough. He spent about $300 on drinks at the bar, which made for a pretty nice time.

After drinking myself silly I was talking to someone on my cell phone. As I clicked the 'end' button my finger slipped and I dropped it into a full beer. Needless to say my phone doesn't work anymore. Now I have to drop by a Sprint PCS store to pick up a new phone. This bothers me because with the invention of cell phones I learned not to memorize phone numbers. And with my specific phone there is no interchangable memory for storing telephone numbers, so I just lost about 50 numbers. I'm not exagerating either, I don't know anyone's number. I can't remember the last time I actually dialed a telephone number that was stored in my phone....I'm screwed.

Also, last night at the bar I hung out with another friend who is thinking about giving up his job in order to move to Vegas to become a full time pro. I wrote a post about it in the Anything goes section. http://livepokerforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6351
I told him that it's a terrible idea and that he's not good enough at poker to do it for a living. He became very defensive, but I think his poker tracker statistics speak for themselve. Alright, that's all I'm going to say on that subject.

Okay, so today I've played another 431 hands and made $60. I don't really feel like my game has been up to snuff today, but I had one big hand.

Final Pot: $115.30

Results in white below:
MP3 has 9c Jc (two pair, jacks and nines).
Hero has Ts Qs (straight, ace high).
Outcome: Hero wins $115.30.

Other than this hand where I flopped the nuts I have been teedering back and forth. The start of the day I was down $30, but slowly crawled my way back in the black before I took that guys stack. I'm sure I have more poker in me tonight, but if I don't I am definitley going to finish up the Empire bonus tomorrow. That will be about 700 more raked hands and I can definitley do that in a day. Hopefully I can keep this win streak going. knock knock knock
