I really cant explain this but there mere fact of playing at Party Poker tilts me. I dont know what it is. Maybe its the cartoonish look of the place that makes me not take certains bets and raises seriously? Maybe its the fact that I watch so many hands being won with absolute garbage? I dont know but I have to accept the fact that I just flat out dont play my best there.

I still win money at Party, but I have made so many ridiculously stupid moves over the past months and years. When I play there alot, I can keep it under control, but when I go back and forth between party and other sites, I overplay and do other stupid things.

I feel like an alcoholic who has to just face the fact that he can never drink again. I may have to just face the fact that I cant play at Party Poker.

Heres an example. 2 limpers and I raise to $20 with AQ (playing $2/$4NL)
EP calls. My notes say things like "idiot".

Flop is AT4. He checks and i bet $35. He check raises to $100. He started the hand with $200. I move all in. Now what in gods name can I beat here besides a bluff? AJ?

He calls with TT. Of course he does. Any moron can see he has me beat. Just because Ive seen him do alot of idiotic things, doesnt mean he doesnt have me beat here. I swear I think its the cartoon look of the site and of the chips.

Anyone else have this problem at a certain site?

Well to be honest with you Ice....I seem to play better at Party than I do anywhere else. I don't know if it is b/c I play more on the idiotic morons levels, or what. But I love the place.

Don't know if you know this or not, but you can turn the images of people off where you are just looking at the table and the people's names. It's still cartoonish, but not as bad.

Yeah, I have all that crap turned off already. The chips still dont look real. I cant explain it and I know its stupid, but I just dont respect the bets and raises there like i should.

I certainly can relate to assuming everyone is a donkey there! My preflop and flop play are fine but my turn and river play need drastic work...

I felt the same way until I started playing FTP this week. I cant believe there is another place with players as bad as Party. I found myself calling these big bets to find that they called 6XBB preflop with 96o and flopped two pair..arg. I was down $200 the first hour before I went into rock mode and came back to break even.

Well, you know I struggle there Ice... I still haven't really figured it out, though I have made some money from the bonuses and rake rebate I basically don't beat the games there. Who knows what it is but SOMETHING about this otherwise utterly normal site still doesn't seem to agree with me.

I mean... really. Party is hell, I'd say there's too many fish to combat against at the same time, except Pacific's players are even worse and I'm fine there.

With Party I see big pots won by pathetic hands and then everytime I have a big PP and get the flop overpair, I get killed by a set or flush.

i love party... except during the bonus periods.

I've won overall on party...but that place tilts me. Partypoker and Pokerstars are my nemesises.

I hate stars. I guess its my party poker as I love party poker, especially for PLO. Mistakes are much easier to make there so just sit back and wait to be paid.
