Now that me and kenny are back from AC, I've decided to give you a quick run through of what happened on my end (and some of from his side too).

He got to my house at about 1am thursday night after a long 10+ hour drive and we got some sleep since we had to be up by about 10am.

Friday

Got to the casino about noon, grabbed some food and got put on the same 1/2, 300 buy in NL table at the Taj. I did manage to flop quads from the sb with A5s when the flop was 555. I checked the flop and turn. someone bet the turn $15 and everyone else (6 people or so) folded. River was and Ace and I decided to just bet out $25. He looked at me and asked if I had the 5 and if I would show. I just shook my head no and he eventually called and I won a nice pot. I flopped 2 sets and didn't get paid off too much and had a pretty boring day.

There was one hand that Kenny wouldn't let me live down. I had 65s in the CO and limped after a couple limpers. Button raised to $17 and only 1 limper called and I folded. Flop came 665. The limper bet $40 and the button raised to $100 which the other guy folded to. I would have won a huge pot as the raiser didn't know how to lay down a hand. As everything unfolded, kenny could see the disgust on my face. Also, i showed him my cards right as i folded so he had to laugh to. Him telling me this advice cost him on the last day as I got involved in a pot with him due to his advice that i should have called.

I finished down $93 but kenny was up $750 as people kept bluffing him, folding to his bluffs and going all in when kenny had the nuts. For example, the same kid that I described on the 65s hand of mine got all in on the flop with KQ on a KJT board when Kenny had AQ. Its easy to play the nuts.

Also, there was this one girl that was very attractive that was playing at our table. She was a mouse and didn't know how to drop a big pocket pair but people paid her off anyway. Either way, Kenny was in love and wanted to marry her. We nicknamed her "Poker Girl"

Saturday

I stuck to 1/2 and kenny got a 2/5 game as he now believed he was the best 1/2 casino player in the world. In the first 2.5 orbits, I flopped 3 nut straights with 45o (bb), 86s (button) and JTo in sb. I won some small pots with them all. I also flopped 3 9's with 9Ts. I slowly bled down but won a couple nice pots including QJs on a KQQ board against a K.

One thing that pissed me off was that this one kid had been trying to lose his money because his friends wanted to leave. He couldn't just leave with the money, he needed to lose it. He had 250 but was down to $100 and was raising everything preflop to like $25 so I see AA in ep and I'm thinking jackpot. I limp and everyone folds to him on the button and all these assholes that aren't in the hand convince him to limp. A rock in sb completes and bb checks. Motherfuckers! Flop comes KJ9. Rock with $50 looks like he wants to bet but checks, checks to button who bets $25. rock calls, bb folds and I decided to push the button all in for $100 so I have at least that side pot and the I might be able to beat the rock. Nope. Button has Q3 for gutshot while rock has QT for the nuts. I win the side pot and get even. Stupid idiots for getting him to limp. Rock would have folded preflop. Left up 140.

Poker Girl joined my table and we were talking. She seemed really nice and remember me. I told kenny about it during a break and he had to come and visit and talk to her. I jokingly said kenny was a pro but he wished I told her for real. Either way, we left soon after. Kenny was up 1050 mainly due to KK vs JJ all in preflop for $500+ each at his table.

Sunday

No 2/5 game so kenny playing 1/2 with me. I had KK when kenny raised KTs and I reraised, there was a cold caller which I knew I killed and another caller so Kenny called. Big mistake since the cold caller had TT and he had practically no outs. In the end, I took most off the TT guy as the flop was 944 and we both made flushes on the river. I knew I left value out there so i was pissed about that.

Got KK again and reraised and ep raiser. flop came J84, 2 diamonds. He checks, I bet about 2/3 pot and he immediately goes all in for $250 more. It was a tough choice and if I had AA, i would have made a reluctant call but I folded and he showed 87o. God damnit. I'm still more pissed off about the first KK hand then this one. No excuse to leave money on the table, this fold had some reason. Kenny apparently got a better read on him and was wishing i called. Up $40. Kenny was about even. no Poker Girl so Kenny cried.

Monday

back at the taj. still no 2/5 game so kenny is not happy. We ended up on separate 1/2 tables. I won $9 in a quick session since we decided to do the $65 tourney. Main hand of interest was I only called a small raise on the button with AK (mistake), bb called as did 3 others. Flop was A95. checks to me, i bet pot, bb check raises me to 3x, i reraise and he folds 95o face up. Good read sir. Give me the pot.

Tourney wasn't going bad. I got 72 in bb in limped pot and flopped two pair which I checked raised to win. I got JJ vs A8s on a T98 flop with 2 to his suit. I held and knocked him out and I had more than doubled up. Then the blinds and antes got big and I got blinded out til i went all in for 7200 (blinds 500/1000 100 ante) and someone with QQ called and i missed. I outlasted Kenny but that doesn't mean much since i didn't come close to money.

Played after that and had my biggest session. +251 all due to a suck out by me. I get 33 and limp, few other limpers. flop is KJ3. I bet pot, 3 callers. Turn is T, I bet 2/3 pot, 1 caller and an all in for $100 more. I don't like it but i know the other lady will call all in for less than that so i call hoping he has 2 pair. Nope, he chased Q9. River pairs the board and i win. One for the good guy.

Once again, poker girl was a no show so Kenny cried some more.

Tuesday

Here's where we made a mistake. We went to the borgata which I hate but kenny wanted to see it and hoped there was a 2/5 game. there were 2 so he jumped in and he decided to stake me since he was sure i could beat it. I thought I could too but didn't want to risk the money. We went 50/50 on the buy in and i would get 70% on winnings so I did it.

First hand of interest, I limp in ep with 86s as kenny taught me and there were 4 other limpers. Kenny raises to $30 from the sb and I call (once again, as kenny taught me) thinking it would be a big pot since everyone likes to call. Wrong, everyone folds and its just me and him. Flop comes J74 with 74 of my suit so I have a gutshot straight flush draw. He bets $50 and I raised him to $150 (yet again, as kenny taught me). He thinks for a while and folds. He said he had AA. Power of position BITCH! Hey, i didn't want to win his money but I got to play.

Too bad that money I won was later lost. I get KK and reraise a raiser and the SB cold calls and raiser folds. This sends up some flags but I didn't respect this guys game enough to put him on AA. flop is 778 and he bets 2/3 pot. I go all in and he calls, yes, with AA. I lose and i'm down $250 and so is kenny. I take a walk. I don't feel that bad but a break was needed.

Kenny decides to then stake me the full amount for another buy in. We split winnings 50/50. Well, we both end up with cold decks and I finish down almost another $200 and he's down about $250 so this was not a good day for kenny. I also lose almost all my profits for the trip.

I hate the borgata. We leave and kenny had wanted to go to the gift shop but on the way out, he just says "I don't want anything to remind me of this place"

My trip to AC last September (and making a tiny profit at 1/2) was the trigger for my starting to play cash games. (I only played at the Trop.)

I'm living in Baltimore at the moment, so I'll have to make a few trips this winter I think.
