Maybe you could write them back and make up some BS about how you had planned on leaving it in there but had some monetary emergencies that required you to withdraw your funds but after you got them taken care of you felt like redepositing. It aint like they have any business caring what you do with your own money. You shouldn't even have to resort to doing crap like I just suggested. They are so good about making a big deal about the bottomless bonus that it's their own fault if some people decide to take advantage of it.
Have you seen their TV commercials they have now? They tout bodog.
net in them and make it look all exciting and sexy and then at the end of the commercial in small letters at the bottom of the screen it says "not a gambling site" or something along those lines. Granted the ".net" is their way around the US laws about online gambling but they know that if people go to Bodog.net they will most likely end up at Bodog.com which
IS a gambling site. They want their cake and want to eat it too by shadily getting around US laws with "technically" legal commercials but then don't want to let people use their bonus system to their own advantage. Sounds like typical greedy casino folks to me. There is no way in hell that the bonuses are eating into their profits enough to actually warrant sending people letters like the one you got. It's all about the greed. In fact, if I may continue to rant, when they worry about crap like this when they are doing almost nothing for the money in the first place it makes me sick. It aint like they are gambling their money to make a profit. Or doing back breaking work for it. Not in the least. But you and I are if we want to try and make a buck there. We put our money on the line every time we get involved in a hand. And although it may not break my back, it sure does get sore from the hours I spend in my computer chair trying to make a profit at this game. They even have one up on the real casinos because they don't have ANY overhead compared to a real casino. What, some computers and the folks to run them? Some software? Maybe some cheap rent for a building to house it all in? And I do mean cheap, remember they are located in Costa Rica. Hell they probably own the building and paid a dirt cheap price for it. Then add in all the money they make from their sportsbook and their casino and you have a GIANT amount of money which is mostly profit. So when they worry about crap like someone whoring their bonus system which THEY came up with, well, it really kinda sickens me. And now they are even lowering the amount of the bonus that they allow you to get if you are good enough to lose all your money at their tables and want to spend more. Combine that with the fact that they don't use a hand history similar to most everyone elses that can be read by Poker Tracker, and I don't see myself going back there anymore after seeing your letter Kent. Regardless of the fact that they have the best customer service around when you have a problem. Well, a problem with the poker that is.
Sorry if this kinda rambled or didn't make total sense, but I got on a roll and couldn't type fast enough to get all my thoughts out perfect. But I think you can see that I'm irritated that what used to be one of the best, if not THE best, poker site around has become one of the greediest ones out there. Geez I wish I had the money to start my own poker site. Make it kind of a non profit site.
Well, maybe not "non" profit, but certainly low profit and honest and above board so there was no question about any of this. I think it would draw a HUGE number of players away from the other sites.
Good enough for ya Kent?
