I went to my favorite sushi place to calm myself down from the $5000 thing because frankly I don't think I would have otherwise. I LOVE the oyster katsu there. It is simply delicious. Anyway, this thing is supposed to be about poker......or something.
Entered my first 2 Dublin Satellites for the EPT. One was a 30 FPP and the other was $13 with rebuys. The $13 with rebuys was a rebuy, top 7 moved on to the real satellite, like 85 entered. I got 15th. It was a turbo so it's nice and quick, although skill is largely thrown out the window after 40 minutes. Let me rephrase that, post flop skill is. You gotta know your pre flop math and be able to estimate an opponents range of hands well in those all in pre flop pushfests. The 30 FPP one was like 700 people and only 8 moved on or something and I just didn't have the energy for that crap so I donked off my chips fairly quickly. Then I hopped on interpoker for some real poker. Despite MK's advice I played more heads up limit
. Although I agree 30 pound / 60 pound was a bit too big. I played $30/$60 for 1 hour and managed another $1118 win.
I think I'm gonna drive to my mom's tommorow and pick up some stuff including books and pick out this coming week's book of the week. I may also stop at border's and pick up a few of the suggested readings from you folks, I'm gonna go on Amazon and see which ones look like they are up my alley.
