My notes on this guy say he is LAG and kind of an idiot. I believe this hand bears that out. Clearly I overplayed this, but what do others think? Does this play ever work?

Thanks for the comments. I did not like my play in this hand, and I think I do generally have a leak of drawing to half the pot too much.

A lot of preflop raises contain a 2 so you have to seriously consider that you're drawing to half a pot here. Putting your whole stack in on a DRAW which will only give you your money back even if you hit is generally a very foolhardy play in O8. If you have something for high (as little as an overpair to the board) and you know your opponent will call with a wide variety of speculative hands (including naked low draws) it becomes a much better value play.

However, you're sure to be behing for high at this point and you have no real way of drawing to high (except a vulnerable gutter) even if he has as little as a pair of 9s. So, bad play really. You risked your stack for no real possible profit.
