I'm new to Poker Tracker and am looking to shorten the learning curve......

I play strictly limit on Empire and have a small bankroll at UB for sit and go's.

I have almost 700 hands now in PT and am overwhelmed by the amount it seems to be able to do.....

Does anybody create seperate databases for different limits and sites? I would think this would be useful to keep the various limits and sites separate and would prevent from having to create a new database as early or as often? Thoughts?

What else do you wish someone had told you when you first got PT? That you figured out later but would have been great to know earlier?

Any tips, thoughts, or suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks.

Sounds like a good idea for a full-blown article 'Poker Tracker and NLHE' on the main site.

Any volunteers?

I'd have 2 databases, it''l be easier to analyse specifc game types without filters plus it'll be faster to access and update 2 smaller databases rather than 1 larger one.

For your play on Empire I'd recommend observing a couple of other tables to those you're playing, it imports the stats for each player and so you can boost the number of players, the more players the better for reference.

For this you need to fiddle with the autoimport boxes, check the 'configure import of observed hands'. Then just open up the table to want to watch and PT will import stats the same time as the table you're playing.
