I just played my first SH LHE... omg... it's like crack.

so much psychology that you can use based on probability. i love it. i had a great read on one guy i was playing HU. Fold to a raise with nothing, call with weak pair, bet/raise with TP or better. i guess this is not an atypical profile. anyway, within three hands of getting my bead on him, he left the table (sigh).

ok, it was only .02/.04... but i love it.

i'm thinking about rapi... um, playing at the party beginner tables. thoughts?

well, just had my second little sh lhe session. i took a small 15bb dip only to get back to plus 1bb before te end of it.

i experienced my first sponge, and it sucked. dude had trip aces and just called my bets -- no raises. i ended up getting my money back by playing position. i could value bet with impunitaahhhh, and muck when he bet if i didn't have tp beat.

and ex... you might have spongitis... might want to go see a doctor.

btw, beating the rake at micro-limit HU lhe is a real biatch.

sponge is good counter-strategy to TAGs- but no I was just weak-tight but slowplaying more than usual when I hit

Kuso- welcome to the dark side! Dont play too much short handed though unless you intend to keep doin it, because if you do you wont be able to go handle playing full ring anymore, because itll seem about as slow as an 08 table.

Yep- the rake - I need to compare 2 hand Ring with 2 hand SnG's at some point I think

i've made the grand leap from .02/.04 to .05/.10 and .10/.20.

ok, don't laugh... just trying to develop some intuition on the cheap.

anyway, wow... these people have no idea what they are doing. i busted a couple of people, and i "took advantage of" (in the TW with sheep kind of way) a few others. i don't have pt stats (pokerchamps), but i'm easily over 20bb/100. of course, this is meaningless with such a small sample and such small stakes, but it's nice to know that i am not a complete w a n k e r (can't believe this is filtered) at this.

so few people raise... ever. top pair... check-call. other than one guy who seemed to "get" the concept of aggression in SH, i only got raised with 2pr or better. even then, sometimes 2pr and str8 hands just called.

i'm learning to adjust to the sponge... but i think this is my biggest "leak" so far.

also, the variance can be a real biatch. some donk can call you down your TPTK with a crappy weak kicker, hit on the river, and you get smoked out of a 10+ BB hand. maybe this is just limit... dunno.

also, i seem to like 3-4 better than 6 or HU -- jury's still out on 5. it seems like you can get plenty of dead money in with 3-4 while still playing a lot of hands.
